He's barely pulling even with one of the most unlikable candidates in history who can't even stay scandal free for a week. And that's with the millions in free advertising the media has given him over the past year. If his crossover appeal is that great then he's doing a shitty job of taking advantage of it.

When I saw "olberman destroys trump" I thought it was a debate between the two of them. Nope, just olbermann talking to himself. Trump would kick his butt if this had been one on one. I so agree with you ck. All we ever heard about was how the Republican Party has to change, has to attract new people has to be more inclusive and empathetic. You are so right that this is not ideological. Me I think you are right also, win or lose the Republican Party will either not exist or not look anything like it does now. I for one am not afraid of this or worried about it. If you can't win national elections it doesn't matter what your ideology is cause it ain't gonna get implemented, a fact lost on the George wills, jeb bushes and John kasichs. The country is changing faster than I can keep up with it, I don't like it but that is just the way it is. Not trying to harness this change to your cause is going to be a loser as republicans who don't have their head in the sand are realizing. What may be the most ironic twist of all, Obamas statement of wanting to fundamentally transform America may come true, just not in the way he thought. His disastrous presidency may just have so energized the populace that not only did he cause the opposition party to transform itself, but that transformed party may just win the election and erase most of Obamas legacy accomplishments. Truth is stranger than fiction and it is a heady time to be an American. Our blessings are legion and reason enough to never give up fighting for your country.

I'm not into these talking heads. I tried watching but didn't get any further than had I accidently tuned my radio to Limbaugh. It was switched off in a matter of seconds.
