On Jan 6, did Congress/ Mike Pence have the authority to overrule the States Electoral Votes?

Does a Congress or the Vice President have the authority to overturn States EVs?

Fortunately for most Americans, you don't know anything more than your opinion. Pretty much every American would be in jail if you were in charge. We have all said things that could have gone astray.
With folks pleading the Fifth, documented texts of congress people aiding and abetting the decertification of the election, video admission, video incitement to attack, then watching it on TV for three hours, then doing nothing, which was a dereliction of duty, was way more than going astray.

Re Bernie & Trump. One ran for president & lost the nomination. The other ran for president and won. All presidents should attempt a high standard as they represent us all.

They had no challenge, because they had no evidence. Why do you think Pence certified? The January 6th certification by Pence, was totally independent of the planned coup before January 6th. Again, your stupid ignorance, is here for all to see. You are unbelievably clueless. January 6th is January 6th, not January 4th or 5th. The coup was planned before January 6th, to happen on January 6th.
Again dumb ass on Jan 6 any congressperson can challenge any States electoral votes, to be a valid challenge it requires a member of the House and senate to challenge and then a vote is held. Planning who will challenge and who will vote is not a coup attempt it is not treason and it is not illegal.

OMG! How someone can be this dense is beyond me. No one is talking about a vote count challenge on January 6th. The discussion is about a planned coup before January 6th. Do you not understand the difference between the two?

President Trump is practically and morally responsible for the riot of Jan 6

Mitch McConnell

There was no plan other then the vote you retard.

All true. So, what does that have to do with Trump's first amendment rights? Yes, Bernie called for a revolution several times, one of his followers believed him and went and attacked our democracy by shooting up Republicans. Bernie is not responsible for the acts of his followers because Bernie has first amendment rights to call for a revolution if he wants, even if one of his followers took him literally and attacked our democracy. Trump has the very same first amendment rights.
You still have no evidence the shooter ever heard Bernie saying anything about a revolution.
