Pelosi: Maybe a purity test on abortion for Democrats isn’t such a good idea after all - Hot Air

"The Democratic Party should not impose support for abortion rights as a litmus test on its candidates, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Tuesday, because it needs a broad and inclusive agenda to win back the socially conservative voters who helped elect President Trump.

“This is the Democratic Party. This is not a rubber-stamp party,” Pelosi said in an interview with Washington Post reporters."

Someone with some intelligence inside the DNC must have convinced the Democratic Party to rescind it's statement that there is no room in the Democratic Party for Pro-Life members, pointing out that after losing more than 1,000 elections and back-to-back historic, record-setting elections the last 8 years under Obama (and Hillary), the Democrats need all the votes they can get, no matter who they are, in order to avoid their continued path to extinction.

To be one of our "main" parties, those people sure know how to pick their leaders.
My gawd man, what fucking incompetence!

When is the Republican Party going to get the message? Despite the election results, they're still the minority party nationally.

Yup...that's why the Democrats have lost 1,000+ elections nationwide and back-to-back historic, record-setting elections, and why Hillary Clinton was rejected AGAIN.

You're funny as hell, Comrade...er, Konrad. You should try to take Colbert's place when his ass gets fired. :p

I thought it was The Russians who Elected The President?

Now they are actually admitting Clinton was a Shitty Candidate and that The Dems have a Shitty Far too Lefty Party?

Who knew?

Despite the election results? Puff puff pass!
Lay off the smoke, it's interfering with your critical thinking. More votes is more votes.

1. Konrad is one of the snowflakes who didn't know - like Hillary - what it took to win the WH. He thought (thinks?) it was a popularity contest in which the person with the most votes won. Surprise......

2. Almost half the American people didn't even vote, so claiming you are the majority when less than half the people voted is moronic. The majority of people, it seems, are the ones who refused to go out and vote for either one of these clowns. :p

70% of Americans want to keep Roe v Wade in place. There's no good reason for the Democrats to undermine their overwhelming advantage on this issue by begging for anti-abortionists to join the party.

Yup, and Trump got more electoral votes, because he represents the majority of Americans.

So to be clear, do you believe that the voters who voted for Trump in NY consider Hillary Clinton to represent them,
because she won the state?

Yup, and Trump got more electoral votes, because he represents the majority of Americans.

In reality his 62 million voters only represent 20% of the population.

Voters don't represent the population, the elected officials do. Each state has its own election, but higher turnout in one state does not mean that state should be represented "more" than the others. The electoral college protects the representation of each state by capping how much they can affect the election. Otherwise there could be rampant voter fraud in just a few states to steal an election. This is why the EC is superior to popular vote, and our founding fathers knew that.

To be clear, I never said that. All of NY had Hillary represent them, whether they liked it or not, because she won the election within that state.

Too hard for you to comprehend?

Yes that is why the far left is small minority in many states!

See how the far left will always deny reality!

That's legislative seats, not voters. Why do you have to lie. Pass some anti-gerrymandering laws and see what happens. Of course that won't happen, because the Republicans know they'd be legislating themselves out of their own jobs.

Exactly why he got more electoral votes but doesn't represent the majority of Americans as you claimed, nor does he represent the majority of voters.

Trump won the popular vote in 30 states. He easily represents the majority of the country. The population of the red states is about 180 million compared to the 140 million of the blue states.
