Actually, the constitution is currently proving itself. Trump's illegal orders have been stopped by the Judicial branch, and his lunatic agenda is DOA in the Legislature. If we make it 4 years, the constitution will have passed its greatest test. Hell, it's starting to look like it will be a lot less than 4 years, thanks, once again, to the constituion.
