Our New Speaker Thinks the Earth is 6,000 Years Old

science in many cases leaned toward herd immunity, but wasn't even listened to so
Herd immunity never worked for COVID since it mutated so much and since it was so easily transmissible.

The proportion of people who need immunity rises as the transmissibility rises. Combine that with immunity that isn’t really that durable due to mutation, it was never a strategy that was going to reduce death.

Ask a doctor if 1918 was modern times and tell me how much they laugh at you.

“Flawed science” is Jim Bob’s response when he doesn’t want to believe what it shows. How is it flawed? Jim Bob doesn’t know, but it must be somehow.

The anti-science party doesn’t create policy based on science. They create science based on the policy they want. You didn’t want the policies that were recommended so you decided COVID wasnt bad enough. To make COVID less severe, you had to convince everyone that the medical professionals were all lying about it. It was a huge conspiracy, like everything else with you freaks.

Actually he'd consider it modern.

Your disdain for your fellow citizens is noted, and expected from credentialed morons such as yourself.

LOL, like women having penises?

it was never tried, also site your sources!

Yep. Scientists have been working and developing evolutionary theory for over a century but Jim Bob here doesnt think it’s right so we have to treat his opinion as equal.
You have yet to demonstrate why his opinion on the matter has anything to do with being the Speaker of the House. Now, if there was a Speaker who claimed that men can get pregnant and women can get testicular cancer in the face of biological fact, that would be a problem because he/she/idiot would have a hand in crafting legislation that would impact everyone's medical care.

So let me get this straight.

He made no direct mention of his views on creation and evolution? He is just being smeared for his affiliations with Young Earth Creationists?
Maybe you should read the OP again.

“The Ark Encounter is one way to bring people to this recognition of the truth, that what we read in the Bible are actual historical events".

Well, this is reassuring.

The new Speaker appears to believe that the Earth is 6,000 years old.

Before arriving in Washington less than a decade ago, House Speaker Mike Johnson, a deeply religious Christian, was a legal crusader associated with a fringe evangelical movement called “young Earth creationism,” based on a literal reading of the Bible’s Book of Genesis that posits the Earth is only several thousand years old.
In the mere hours since Johnson was elected speaker Wednesday, he hadn’t had to address his views on creationism and evolution. But his close ties to a leader of the creationist movement and his past legal work — on behalf of the Ark Encounter creationist theme park, where children can learn that dinosaurs were passengers on Noah’s Ark — seem to suggest that he’s also personally aligned with these beliefs.

“The Ark Encounter is one way to bring people to this recognition of the truth, that what we read in the Bible are actual historical events,” Johnson said in a 2021 interview with Ark Encounter founder Ken Ham while guest-hosting the radio showof Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, an evangelical activist group.

Won't be long now. Johnson will be seen giving a handjob in a crowded theater.

Or a bath house.

You have to go to the very bowels of the internet to come up with such absurdities.

Maybe Democrats need to focus on all the science you don't understand today before worrying about what happened thousands of years before you were born. Let's start with "A." Do you know what a woman is?

BTW, AWESOME Trumpatar, he rocks, you got it right ...

You always hated the real Toro . The new leftist one gives you a real hard on though, huh?

And nice, love the Trumpatar!

No, they’d laugh at you. In 918, they had zero of the tools doctors use to treat influenza.

I have disdain for people who invent their own reality because they don’t like to live in actual reality. Especially when those people cause death and destruction.

Conservatives are anti-science.

Toro goes to the bowels of stupidity and finds it every time. What a change from the real Toro. I still think the new fake Toro is don't taz me bro. He's probably the new fake FA_Q2 too

Conservatives are anti-socialism, and you watermelons abuse science to get your ways.

You obviously don't know any conservatives if you think that garbage.

Al Gore did not predict Ellis Island would be under water by 2003.

The USA is losing $200 billion per year in wildfires, flooding and massive numbers of severe weather events. There’s a “storm of the century” ever 5 years.

Insurance company are leaving Florida. And if you can’t get insurance, you can’t get a mortgage.

You truly are an economic moron. Investment in infrastructure is not a “government handout”.

Green manufacturing and investment has grown throughout the United States over the past 40 years, even though the government has refused to acknowledge its necessity and refused to contribute.

Americans would rather blow things up in overseas wars than invest in the American people at home.

ROFLMAO

.

The fact that the Earth is far, far older than people like the speaker wants to believe is a fact.

I was not speaking on his beliefs on Creationism. Personally the theories aren't all that important to me either way.

"The fact that the Earth is far, far older than people like the speaker wants to believe is a fact."

Really, give us the exact date the earth was named "the earth".

Conservatives are anti-social. They will deny any reality that they don’t like, which often means denying the results of scientific work. To a scientist, they’re constantly in search of truth. To a conservative, they’re constantly in search of a rationale to believe what they want to believe.

Women. Having. Penises. Ignoring it doesn't eliminate your side thinking it and demanding we all think the same.
