Is porn immoral? That doesn’t matter: It’s a public health crisis.

The science is clearly there showing that pornography causes societal problems. The question is how do you deal with the problem? The government really doesn't have much authority to deal with this due to the first amendment protection the industry has.

So what are the solutions?

Repeal the 1st Amendment?

Please, don’t give the social right any ideas…

Porn is not an issue difficult to address. Porn has always been part of the human condition. Pornographic images have been drawn on the walls of caves. It's certainly not going anywhere. Now we have reached a point where porn has become so pleasurable that it can and in some cases is, supplanting human contact. It can be anything you want, fulfill any desire, any fantasy.

I am not against the virtual or even mechanical lover. I don't like porn myself because I find it incredibly boring. I have no moral objections
If they existed, I would much rather have such a companion than some needy guy.

It is easy to transfer sexual urges and imagine that a woman wants to have sex because you just saw that move on the screen. No one assumes someone wants to be murdered.

That is actually interesting. I am thinking that the difference is that the porn film pays taxes. If only the government could come up with a way to tax BJs.

Porn is sex acts. I have no desire to see other people have sex.
