Regulations are killing the porn industry. Porn was completely run out of Los Angeles two years ago because of regulations. There will be a measure on the ballot in November to make those regulations state wide. Make similar regulations nation wide and this country will have no porn industry.

It is certainly destructive to some men who end up dysfunctional as a result. But, really who cares? It doesn't matter to anyone if some guy has watched so much porn he can no longer get an erection. Really, who is hurt? Just the guy. So what.

Perhaps advances in robotics will be the entire argument pointless.

Not really to up to date on the goings on in the industry, but from a lay person(no pun intended) point of, there seems to be no shortage of porn available.

Porn didn't stop. It just left. Instead of LA it went to the valley. Pass this new law and Porn will leave the state.

Hmm, puberty is your age of consent. Seems absurd to me to think that because a child by legal definition has reached puberty they automatically have the mental maturity to make decisions regarding pornograpghic sexual behavior.

I explicitly stated that I was referring to a philosophical definition. Puberty is the bodies way of indicating that you should be sexually active; Therefore I believe an individual that hits puberty should be treated as being capable of making decisions regarding sex.

I certainly would not my 13 year old child to be at the age of consent with respect to being in a skin flick. The idea of it is somewhat sickening in a perverted sort of way.

Why would you allow your 13 year old child to star in a skin flick?

Okay, well do not let your daughter make adult decisions at an adult age. It is between you and her.

There are already twelve and thirteen year olds fucking each other. It is not the end of the world, and personally I believe it is better that individuals become sexually active at a young age rather than being confused, inexperienced, and having stunted development at the end of puberty.

The two largest porn sites are based in Canada (Pornhub) and the United Kingdom (XVideos). Any regulations are just on the production and distribution of porn, and there are not a lot of regulations on production.

Pornography can screw people up. A lot do not have the mentality to jack off without getting fucked in the head, but that is not my problem.

Every culture before the last 100 years treated the age around puberty as adulthood.

Actually it is probably closer to 70 years, since 14 year olds were getting married before WW2. Somehow we have gotten more regressive, despite youth being more conscious and educated on sex.

Without any research, I can say with certainty those regulations and taxes were lobbied.

The largest porn production companies have been constantly under fire by small independent porn companies, so that seems like the kind of thing they would push to take them out of business.

Yep. My oldest will be 10 in November so spot on there. She is not only taller and bigger than almost every girl her age but she has hit puberty sooner....not a fun time!

Ten years old is an incredibly early age for puberty. I am sure you are the best judge of what is good for your daughter. I think the hard part is acknowledging that your children need to be able to make mistakes in order to grow and develop.

Just to interject though, out of all the species in the animal kingdom, humans have made fucking the most complicated.
