First, would someone like to explain what this man did yesterday, holding up Bible and saying "It's a Bible"?

Second, what was the point of that, what was his goal?

First, I'm not sure what sort of explanation you need. Is it that you didn't recognize it until he told you, or that you can't imagine why anyone would hold one?

Second, I'm pretty sure the point would be obvious to anyone who wasn't desperate to find fault with Trump about everything. It was a historic church that was burned by rioters in the nation's capital. As symbolism goes, I'd say that one was about as blatant and clear as it's possible to get.

Third, do you believe that YOU are someone who Trump or anyone else needs to defend their devoutness to, one way or another? The status of Trump's soul is between him and God; you are neither. How about you just take it that he clearly has more respect for Christianity than you do and leave it at that?

At approximately 6:33 pm, violent protestors on H Street NW began throwing projectiles including bricks, frozen water bottles and caustic liquids. The protestors also climbed onto a historic building at the north end of Lafayette Park that was destroyed by arson days prior. Intelligence had revealed calls for violence against the police, and officers found caches of glass bottles, baseball bats and metal poles hidden along the street.​

To curtail the violence that was underway, the USPP, following established policy, issued three warnings over a loudspeaker to alert demonstrators on H Street to evacuate the area. Horse mounted patrol, Civil Disturbance Units and additional personnel were used to clear the area. ​

As many of the protestors became more combative, continued to throw projectiles, and attempted to grab officers’ weapons, officers then employed the use of smoke canisters and pepper balls. USPP officers and other assisting law enforcement partners did not use tear gas or OC Skat Shells to close the area at Lafayette Park. Subsequently, the fence was installed.​

After U.S. Park Police and National Guard troops pushed demonstrators out of Lafayette Park, President Trump walked from the White House to St. John's Church where he posed for pictures with a Bible.
