President Trump nixes federal workers pay raises, leftists lose their minds

Always good to hear I’ve “lost my mind” especially on something I have not heard about… Hope it doesn’t include the military; we can’t pay those folks enough.

No, in the OP, it's clearly stated that it doesn't include the military.

What the OP didn't say is how much it will save taxpayers. I heard on the Michael Medved show it would save us 38 billion dollars. That's a lot of hotdogs.

The Dems cry about the raises, but ignore the fact this is something many Americans face every year in the private sector. If a company is in the hole, they don't give out raises. WTF should our government not stick to those standards as well? It's not like we have a surplus in our budget or something.

Why not include the military? They are fed employees.

Because then the would give leftist losers ammo to attack Trump.

No. It’s just hypocrisy and the right wings never ending war against the working man.

You going to vilify fed employees , then have at it. Don’t pick n choose and have arbitrary waivers .

So why do you feel that if raises are not handed out, it should be even?

Military pay is not all that great, so it would be fitting that they continue to get pay increases. They are dedicating the best years of their life to this country, and it should come with some kind of reward.

That's not the case with all other federal employees. They get to go home at the end of the day, sleep in their own private bed in their own private bedroom. They know where they are going to be living the next week unlike many in the military.

We haven’t had a draft in 40 + years . Everyone in the military chose to join . Moving around is part of the job, and also with lots of fed jobs .

And don’t act like people join the military for altruistic reasons . There are many benefits to be had .

If we can afford to give $12B to farmers who are already subsidized, we can give pay raises using whatever metrics were in place.

We have 2.1 million civilian federal employees, 38 billion divided by 2.1 million is $18,000. Since the COLA increase was 1.9%, I guess you & your ignorant fuck orange butt buddy are saying the average civilian pay is 947 million a year.

Who knew?
You’re a gullible fucker aren’t you?

The raises this year alone would be three times that amount. Now if you want to pay more for food, just write your representatives.

Yes there are, and they deserve them as well. People don't join the military for the money, they join to protect this country and sacrifice part of their life in the process. They do so out of patriotism.

That's not why other people get a job with the federal government.

Yes...freeze pay raises of the little guys in the name of fiscal responsibility, while giving huge tax cuts to the wealthy and drastically cut revenue which caused this huge rise in national debt.

Sounds pretty screwed up to me, but hardly surprising. Government workers are an easy punching bag.

Why can't you left wingers be honest about the corporate tax cut? Millions of working class Americans have Trillions of dollars of retirement savings invested in corporations, hence the corporate tax cut you claim only benefits the wealthy is a LIE. :eusa_liar::eusa_liar::eusa_liar:

And getting government off the back of our businesses helps create new good paying jobs for even more Americans, generating more tax revenues. Its a win/win formula for growth.

Meanwhile YOU bunch of dumb asses think the status quo sky high corporate taxes was a good idea.
A look at the ballooning deficit under Trump is all you need to look at.

You know, seriously. After eight years of your not caring at all in any way about deficits under Obama, why do you say things like this?

It just makes you look bitter, partisan and stupid. It's a serious question why you continually attack W and Trump for things you didn't mention under Obama. EVERYONE sees that you're doing that. What exactly are you trying to accomplish that doesn't make you just look like a hypocrite?

Your simpleton way of looking at complex problems is WHY you fail.

:lmao:

That is your specialty :)

That is why we are mired down in Iraq for example.

Same question I just asked you. Seriously. You're such an obvious hypocrite. You blasted W and Trump for the middle east wars, but silence under Obama for prolonging the existing wars and starting new ones like Libya and Syria, you just didn't care. You just look pathetic with how flagrant, shallow and obvious your double standards are. And again everyone sees that. Why don't you just put "I am Coyote, a flagrant partisan Democrat hypocrite" in your sig? Wouldn't that be shorter than proving it in post after post after post?

Why is it the only time leftists care about the little guy is when it involves a Republican? When the Democrats screw the little guy, that's just fine.
Why do you think I don’t? Do you care for the little guy?

I"m saying the left in general.

I didn't hear them complain about the little guy when DumBama created a law stating they must buy insurance whether they could afford it or not.

I didn't hear the left complaining when the first thing DumBama did after invading the White House was institute a severe sin tax; taxes that mostly paid for by the poor and middle-class.

I didn't hear the left complain about the businesses that were closed down because of DumBama's actions.

I didn't hear the left care about the little guy when DumBama tried to close down power plants run by coal which would have greatly increased the costs of energy.

You can always tell how great a job is by how much advertising they do. While I admit it's been some time since I scanned the want ads, I don't ever recall any ads from the federal government looking for workers. It's not an easy job to get for obvious reasons.

We have two workers at my company who were in local governments. One for the county and the other for the city of Cleveland. Both retired at the age of 55; that's ten to thirteen years earlier than most in the private sector can retire. Now they both have two incomes: their government retirement package and their full-time job.

To Coyote: I'll explain the obvious to you because you just aren't very smart.

Democrats believe helping the little guy is giving them handouts. You can take their jobs with the minimum wage, taxes, regulations and unlimited illegal aliens taking their jobs and driving down their wages, but you give them handouts. So you care!

Fiscal conservatives believe they want jobs. We believe free markets give them that.

The point of this is not to argue that issue, it's to show you how flat out stupid you are. In fact you can't debate it. You don't grasp our argument. You keep asking us what we're giving them. Our answer is that we're not taking their jobs or lowering their wages. You're like, what? But what are you GIVING them?

Again, I'm not arguing who is right and wrong at this moment. I'm only telling you what it's like trying to debate people as stupid as you are that are incapable of grasping the discussion.

But what are you giving them??? What handouts??? Where are the handouts? Where are they? How can you say you care about poor people until you tell us how many zeroes are on their government checks? Well? How many???

You're just inane

So? We still gave $12B to people not doing anything more than they were doing before they got the $12B of Trump socialism. If we have the money to spend to give away $12B...we have money to spend on other things that are not a Trump voting block. Can we now deduct from your "answer" that the price of food will go down as a result of this socialist gift?

Bullshit.

There are around 2.1 million non-military Fed employees. If their raises this year would be 3 times 12 billion, that would be 36 billion.

That would make the average raise for each Fed employee $17,000, and at 2% of their salary that would make the average Fed salary roughly $857.000 a year. That is bullshit, so your "3 times as much" number is bullshit.

Math, it is your friend, try it sometime before spouting such stupid shit like this.

What gets me is they always try to say "your guy did this" or "your gal is against that" forgetting what their representatives have done in the past.

These Bill Clinton voters are constantly telling us how Trump cheated on is wives. They cry about the separation of children from parents at the border as if DumBama kept them together. They tell us how Republicans are against minorities when it's their representatives that were not only a against school vouchers, but sued in court to try and take those vouchers away from minority kids. They say they are for the working man while sneaking in more illegals through our southern border, given them sanctuary and drivers licenses to get around and take their jobs.

Yeah, it sounded pretty dumb to me when he said it; it's too early to do that sort of math. Usually my math driver kicks in around 8PM.

There must be some sort of conserveative talking point floating around about "You want to pay more for food???" concerning the $12B gift to the farmers. He's the 3rd one who came up with that bullshit; as if the price of food were going to go down now that Comrade Trump has paid the farmers for us. I wish he'd give $12B to realtors and drive the prices of houses down; $12B to car manufactures so the price of cars would go down, etc...

Willful ignorance is unforgivable.

The argument is about Locality pay increases..........not Cola.......

Now I dare you guys to try the figure the math out on that one..........You'll need a long time to figure that out...........LOL

Given that locality raises are different across the entire country and are by county...........

The articles I've seen say this factor is 25 Billion and the main argument............

And the Media is playing word games again..........trying to put the headline so it seems that they don't get a raise at all which is BS.......they get the COLA.......the argument is the locality increases as well.
