First we will start with this. And every other REPUTABLE study has drawn the same conclusion.
No evidence to support link between violent video games and behavior

Then our glorious politicians wasted everyone's time today with this asinine display of ignorance on the issue with a bunch of morons who know nothing about the industry.
The White House meeting on video game violence was unproductive and bizarre

For those of you that don't know video games are already labeled just like movies with ratings ment to help parents make wise choices. To add to that it is a violation to sell an M (mature) rated game to a minor (17 in some states) without parental consent.

Video games are sold around the world yet the violence our youth display is not evident in many other cultures. THAT should be your first clue that games/movies/tv is not to blame. The same content is basically available in almost all countries with a few exceptions like Australia & Germany.

The problem is not guns. The problem is not movies.
The problem is not games.
The problem is not tv.
The problem is not drugs.

There is one issue and only one that leads our children to a life of crime & madness.

BAD PARENTING.

Be it the parent who uses video games as a baby sitter or the parent that drugs their child at the behest of a doctor who is under pressure to push the latest trend in diagnoses or drugs. Then you have the helicopter parent who won't let their child ride a bike without full body armor and gets pissed off if Billy or Sally doesn't get a participation trophy for coming in last. Then you have the parents who go to their child's ball game and fight with the coach or other parents over asinine shit. Of course there is the mother or father that's passed out with the needle still on the couch next to them as poor Mickey gets on the bus in the morning. Let's not forget the executive parents who wouldn't even know their child's birthday if the nanny didn't remind them.

Last but not least is the parent that turns a blind eye to their child when they know he is a bully or picks on other children.

Point being the problem is MOM &/OR DAD who for whatever reason can not or are unwilling to do the things that need to be done for their child's well being.

Blaming video games, movies and all the rest is America's way of ignoring the needs of a troubled child just like the parents.

Nothing but a scapegoat to avoid the painful truth.
