Two confidential documents reveal the framework for undermining voters’ faith in the American electoral system.

A Russian government think tank controlled by Vladimir Putin developed a plan to swing the 2016 U.S. presidential election to Donald Trump and undermine voters’ faith in the American electoral system, three current and four former U.S. officials told Reuters.

They described two confidential documents from the think tank as providing the framework and rationale for what U.S. intelligence agencies have concluded was an intensive effort by Russia to interfere with the Nov. 8 election. U.S. intelligence officials acquired the documents, which were prepared by the Moscow-based Russian Institute for Strategic Studies [en.riss.ru/], after the election.

The institute is run by retired senior Russian foreign intelligence officials appointed by Putin’s office.

The first Russian institute document was a strategy paper written last June that circulated at the highest levels of the Russian government but was not addressed to any specific individuals.

It recommended the Kremlin launch a propaganda campaign on social media and Russian state-backed global news outlets to encourage U.S. voters to elect a president who would take a softer line toward Russia than the administration of then-President Barack Obama, the seven officials said.

A second institute document, drafted in October and distributed in the same way, warned that Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was likely to win the election. For that reason, it argued, it was better for Russia to end its pro-Trump propaganda and instead intensify its messaging about voter fraud to undermine the U.S. electoral system’s legitimacy and damage Clinton’s reputation in an effort to undermine her presidency, the seven officials said.

The current and former U.S. officials spoke on the condition of anonymity due to the Russian documents’ classified status. They declined to discuss how the United States obtained them. U.S. intelligence agencies also declined to comment on them.

Russia must be punished. Trump must also be punished for openly asking Russia to hack Hillary Clinton emails. He must also be thoroughly investigated for other possible covert collusion to sabotage Hillary's campaign.
More alleged leaks from anonymous sources? How much bullshit are you prepared to swallow?

Yeah, but you don't mind swallowing bullshit from anonymous NaziCon sources, do you?
lol Unlike you, I don't swallow bullshit.

Three unnamed sources contend Lakhota is a Russian plant, stationed here to foment civil war...film at 11.

They have confidential documents that prove this...but you can't see them.

And this post is exactly as true as the OP.

Wow. Winning the electoral college, why didn't St. Hillary the Inevitable think of that?

What's your plans to prevent Uncle Vlad from flipping ALL 25 Democrat Senate seats in the midterm?

This is going to get real ugly.
Let's get something straight Lakhota, I went to the original source, which was Reuters, and read the article.

What I got from it was this, Russia used the American freedom of Press, in the same way that the American political elites and corporate press used the press, which is to say, they used it for propaganda.

Did the Russians want Trump to win? Yes, they may have wanted Trump to win, so what of it?

And Trump may have also wanted Trump to win. So what of that?

In America, we have a thing called, freedom of speech, wherein, anyone is free to say and print anything they want, and, it looks like they did. And, anyone is free to think and draw conclusions from that, as they see fit, and, it looks like they did.

Now you are pissed about that?

What do you want, to end freedom of speech? Do you want thought control?

The only thing the Russians are guilty of is telling the Americans the truth about the corruption in their own political system. It is too bad the Russians are too authoritarian that we can't do the same favors for them.

What exactly do you think was done that was illegal? What exactly do you think that was done that was wrong?

Do you think that foreign agents should not be allowed to have access to our press? Is that it?

Do you think that the government should censor what thoughts and ideas folks should be allowed to have access to, is that it?

Are you actually lobbying for censorship of the media, is this what you are about?

And if you are on about the "hacking" of the DNC, you will first somehow have to prove that it was uniquely the Russians and not a disgruntled CIA employee pissed about how Hillary let CIA employees die in Benghazi, which she did, Aleppo, which she did, or various other places, which I might not know about. Or it might have been a DNC insider, or any other various domestic hacker. Any one of them could have used tactics to mimic Russians, or it might have been Russians. None of this necessarily means anything, not can it be connected to Trump, however much you might dream or wish that it might be.

It might floor you to learn, all of this was probably planned, from the outset. With deals made. You might as well resign yourself to the fact, as long as Trump does what he is told, flip flops on the right issue, and makes war on the right people, he is here to stay. Get used to him.

Exxon Seeks U.S. Waiver to Work in Russia Despite Sanctions

By Jay Solomon and Bradley Olson Published April 19, 2017 Features Dow Jones Newswires

WASHINGTON – Exxon Mobil Corp. has applied to the Treasury Department for a waiver from U.S. sanctions on Russia in a bid to resume its joint venture with state oil giant PAO Rosneft, according to people familiar with the matter.

Exxon has been seeking U.S. permission to drill with Rosneft in several areas banned by sanctions and applied in recent months for a waiver to proceed in the Black Sea, according to these people.

The Black Sea request is likely to be closely scrutinized by members of Congress who are seeking to intensify sanctions on Russia in response to what the U.S. said was its use of cyberattacks to interfere with elections last year. Congress has also launched an investigation into whether there were ties between aides to Donald Trump and Russia's government during the presidential campaign and the political transition.

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is Exxon's former chief executive officer and forged a close working relationship with Rosneft and Russian President Vladimir Putin. The State Department is among the U.S. government agencies that have a say on Exxon's waiver application, according to current and former U.S. officials.
