Reason and Experience tell us that there is Evidence for a Creator

Right, you did, but you did not list them. Please list them now. Because I am calling bullshit on your list. You don't have one because you do not believe any good influences have come from religion and the only reason you are offering up your paltry there have been some is to save face. So let's hear the list.
Fuck you. I acknowledged them in the post you refused to read. since you are so arrogant that you felt you could respond to me without even reading my post, it is not my job to accommodate your arrogant ignorance. You wanna know what positive things I gave Christianity go back and read the post you felt no need to read.
If you only limited yourself to that tiny excerpt then you clearly have not made an objective assessment. Are you telling me that that was all you used for your assessment?
No. If you had respected me enough to actually read my posts, instead of just waiting to see a post so that you could fire off your ready made response, you wouldn't need me to

LOL! So, you were being "objective" by cutting and pasting part of a Wikipedia article, instead of actually responding to my questions yourself, but I was not being objective by responding to what you actually posted?!?!

Do yourself a favour...quit while you're behind...
Bullshit. You have never made an objective assessment of the good that religion brings to mankind in your life. Not once. You are delusional.

"Respect my religion!!!"

You mean the one that says I'm evil, and going to go to Hell forever?

yeah, pass.

Feel free to mock my lack of belief in any gods.

It won't hurt my feelings.

It won't damage my faith in reason.

I won't kill you for it.

Yeah, you kind of stepped into it there, didn't you. You didn't think that one through very well. Just think what else you have not thought through. So now it seems that you have adopted the position a bully takes when he has been called out for bullying. That too was entirely predictable.

Feel free to mock my lack of belief in any gods.

It won't hurt my feelings.

It won't damage my faith in reason.

I won't kill you for it.
When have I ever mocked your lack of belief? Never. You want scientific proof where there can never be any. You can't prove that God doesn't exist because of the principle of falsifiability. Therefore, there is no reasoning for your lack of belief. There is nothing to mock and even if there were, I wouldn't mock your faith any more than I would mock the faith of another.

Your mocking me does not hurt my faith in reason. My faith and my reasoning is strong. Despite what you and your fellow militant atheists believe. Your mocking others reveals the flaw in your character and harms you and probably those around you.

No one has ever said that they would kill you. You have been caught in a trap of your own making and you are being overly dramatic about it. Thus proving that you know you are wrong.

So then you are happy enough to assign the bad things which occurred in Western Civilization to Christians but not the good things. Are you sure you believe you are being objective?
Tell you what, when you can address each of my points, indicating that you actually read my post, just as I did, then you might have something of value to say.

I'll wait...
While you are gathering your thoughts on what went into your equation of good or positive influences of religion, maybe you could answer a question for me.

Do you believe that religion should not simply be tolerated but should be countered, criticized and exposed?
Nope. I will not answer any further biased questions from you. You clearly do not wish to have an honest discussion. You just want to be praised for your cleverness. I will not help you do that.
Does ding acknowledge any of the points we make?

Is ding trying to convince us or ding?

This is seriously a person who's questioning if there is a creator. Come on ding. Make the leap. You can do it!

Remember, even if there is a "creator" it doesn't care and never visits
You haven't made any points because you have no evidence that God does not exist.
You have no evidence my invisible unicorn doesn't exist.

Think about what you are telling us. Some supernatural thing created us and cares about us and has a heaven and hell and Noah and Mary and moses.

Religion tells us some pretty crazy stories. I think the burden of proof is on the person making the claim that something exist.

I can't prove something that doesn't exist doesn't exist if you want to believe. That's wishful thinking.

You even said it yourself. Believing has its benefits. So you choose to believe the unsubstantiated

And fat. He called you fat too. And he's the religious one in this conversation? Lol

Today I heard why we have southern Baptists. The northern Baptists told them they couldn't have slaves so they left the church.

Money trumps god

You start a thread saying logic tells us there's a creator. Were you expecting only theists to come here and agree with you? Lol

To me your reply suggests I stumped you with my points. Typical for a stumped theist to ask why we care when we give good reasons why this God hypothesis is all in your head

Im trying to help you see the error of your thinking. It's OK to believe something created us but it is not OK to tell people God is obvious. I give people who believe in a generic God more slack than people who defend the Mary moses Joseph and Mohammad stories.

I think religion has held us back and it has the potential to do so again. It won't be American Christians fault instead it'll be radical Islam that sucks us into fighting another war over the imaginary.

I have signed a bit on thinking religion is all bad. I see there's a lot of good in religion too but if you asked me if we are better with or without ID say without.

To me this is proof we are still a very primitive species.

And doesn't his reply to me come off as someone who is frustrated and doesn't have a good answer? And he doesn't because every argument for God is fatally flawed. Not proof.

I already know what the truth is. They'll even admit it. They want to believe. My dad wants to believe he's going to see mom one day. Sorry dad. But do I tell him? No. It bothers him when I question if so I just pretend to believe, sort of. He admits no virgin births or talking snakes so he just believes there must be something. That's why it seems obvious to them because they can't imagine not. Well we can. What if not? But to them that's offending this God who hides and doesn't seem to care. And is belief necessary? Only if you believe one of the 1000 religions

And the only ones who can explain why he doesn't careare made up religions. Because if he doesn't care (generic God) then belief is not necessary and no heaven waits. Just be glad you were born to get the life you have now. No Allah awaits

Why do I care? Because I hate stupid. That's why. It's holding us back. We are 1% better than apes. Maybe we'd be 2% if we would evolve faster and drop superstitions. There was a time and maybe God is still needed because we still are very primitive in a lot of ways.

We are just now learning our place in the universe. Let's drop the science of 5000 bc

I choose to hope that our consciousness survives death, in some form. But, even if it doesn't, I am made of the same stuff as stars, and that stuff will return to those stars after my death, to, perhaps, return to combine into another life. It may not be an "afterlife", but I take comfort in knowing that even after I'm gone, I'm not really "gone".

And the cool thing is that the thing that is giving me comfort doesn't require some magic skyman; it is just based on the basic physical laws of the universe. This is why I "worship" nature. We can prove that exists.

Don't believe. Do believe. I couldn't care less what you do, brother. Go be free. What are you even doing in a belief forum?
You start a thread saying logic tells us there's a creator. Were you expecting only theists to come here and agree with you? Lol
Yes. yes he was. I mean this is a Religion forum! Clearly the only people who are going to post here are going to be people who have a religion! What is wrong with you?

According to scripture Jesus said that a time is coming when worship will not be restricted to a Temple but real worshippers will worship God in spirit and in truth.

I take that to mean that one day people will reject houses of worship as fake and show their love for God and celebrate life simply by being truthful.

What do you mean by saying that you worship nature?

Atheists don't hate God we hate everything bad that comes with it and that includes the lie that God talked to anyone or sent aa son.

But in spirit I agree with your post. If there is a creator that cares he would care about the truth and being good.

I mean that I celebrate the beauty, and the cycles of nature, and the role that I play in those cycles.

By questioning the 1000s of religions out there you are offending god. Now pick one and shut up! Lol

Son of God is just a relational metaphor indicating rank above that of ordinary prophets who were called servants of God.

I suspect that you are reacting to the notion of God that has been perpetuated for millenia, beliefs about God that I also reject.

That being said and having accepted scientific discoveries about the universe do you still find it out of the realm of possibilities for an individual human being to have been contacted by some extraterrestrial intelligence thousands of years ago?
