I pointed out evidence that the housing bubble began collapsing was seen in a record number of foreclosures in 2006. subsequent record highs of foreclosures hadn't happened yet when New Century Financial filed for bankruptcy.

In the 2 years Democrats then controlled Congress, they got that bill to Bush's desk, which he signed into law. Unfortunately, it was too late as the housing bubble had already started years earlier.
