Actually what brought us out of the depression was government legislation that created consumer spending. Yes, cutting taxes boosts economic growth, but only on the middle class. When the wealthy get tax cuts, they keep the money they save.. They don't invest most of it like they should. It's a simple solution for them. The little they do invest does jack shit anyway. Stimulating supply means jack shit if you dont stimulate demand. Remember Bush's tax cuts? Job growth under Bush was pathetic and the Great Recession happened anyway. That's not an answer, it's an echo of Limbaugh. Sen. Sanders is speaking to the Silent Majority, the vast number of American working men and women who see the inequity of crony capitalism.
The wealthy don't use their wealth to create jobs, for the most part new jobs are created by consumer demand or technological advances. Great wealth is created by using other peoples money, those people Jesus tossed out of the temple.
Sanders has brought OWS out of the street and into the debate. Banks and bankers are usurers, using our money and paying us interests rates less than 1%, and loaning our money at exorbitant rates of interest.
