Republicans: admit you are afraid of Bernie Sanders

Afraid of Sanders? No.
Monica gave your president a Lewinsky. The press is about to give Hillary a Nixon.

I myself don't like Sanders but at least he is honest about his crack pot thinking.
You hear that people? DarkFury does not agree with Sanders, but he admires his integrity. I've heard this from other rightwingers on this board. Bernie is an undeniable straight shooter about his politics. You don't see that with any other candidate in the race.. Who would have thought that the integrity of a politician would reach across the aisle? That is what elected presidents are made of!

Nothing Sanders supports has anything to do with ending capitalism. Maybe you should try reading up on his actual policies.
I said he hates capitalism

and his policies will destroy America just like it's destroyed every other country.

but you will vote for him anyway, b/c like the sheep you are, you think the bad shit that happens everyfuckinggoddamntime wont happen here.

it's ignorant people like you that have taken us down this road.
Why would you think he hates capitalism? His policies and speeches do not reflect such a thing. What policies exactly do you think would destroy America? Be specific.
he wants to increase taxes on the wealthy, the people that create jobs.
he wants to use tax dollars to pay for more stuff

that answers both questions.
Contrary to what you repubs would like to believe, the driving force of the economy is not the wealthy - its the middle class. this is a consumption based economy. It depends on consumer spending. Where does most of the consumer spending come from? The middle class. Bernie is running on saving the middle class and stopping all of the income gains from going to the top 1% of earners. Shifting the tax burden to the wealthy is about being able to pay for our government's expenses. Do you not want to see our debt get any higher? Then support the wealthy paying more in taxes. That is the first step in reducing our deficit. And yes, the other is cutting spending which is what Bernie plans to do with our bloated defense budget.
OMFG THE IGNORANCE NEEDED TO REPEAT THAT COMPLETE NONSENSE!

Harding (R) had a depression, he cut taxes and Fed spending in 1/2, 18 months later depression over Roaring Twenties begin.
fdr (D), did what you just fucking said, 10 YEARS later depression over, NO ECONOMIC BOOM.

you want to repeat the stewpudest ideas in history of the fucking world and you don't even know it.

this is why you are called an "uninformed voter" or a dumb fuck, take your pick
Actually what brought us out of the depression was government legislation that created consumer spending. Yes, cutting taxes boosts economic growth, but only on the middle class. When the wealthy get tax cuts, they keep the money they save.. They don't invest most of it like they should. It's a simple solution for them. The little they do invest does jack shit anyway. Stimulating supply means jack shit if you dont stimulate demand. Remember Bush's tax cuts? Job growth under Bush was pathetic and the Great Recession happened anyway. Reagan economics is a failure.

bern wants the government to be bigger, so lets run down some big government countries;

nazi germany
ussr
china
N Korea
most african nations
most S American nations
most C American Nation

None of these places are places where people want to live.
None of these countries have anything to do with his policy ideas.
WRONG

seriously, man, educate yourself on some history, for the love of country
How about you make the connection then? In 2000, our revenue as a percentage of GDP was at 20%. That was when our economy was thriving. The 1950s was a time of great economic growth yet the tax rate percentage on the wealthy was its highest. How do you explain that?

He is drawing in more crowds than any candidate on both sides of the aisle. 29,000 in Portand is his highest number so far. That kind of rally support is unprecedented this early in campaign season. The reason why he hasn't surpassed Hillary in the polls is because he is not as well known as she is across the U.S. He lacks her name recognition. That will soon change of course. Oh, and unlike Trump, he didn't have to hire people to come to his early rallies. Let's also not forget that Sanders is proposing actual policy ideas unlike Trump. Apparently all a republican has to do to win in the polls is be a total drama queen.

Polls already show that most Americans favor a wide range of progressive issues. In fact, most of what Sanders is running on, most Americans already support. As this race goes on, don't you think he poses a huge threat to republicans?
anyone not a full leftist with any love for America should fear bern.

his hate for freedom and capitalism and just plain ol' being an America is very clear.

He wants to use the same policies that have led to the ruin of every leftist country that tries them. The only countries still holding on are in the EU, but it's only a matter of time before Germany gets tired of being the Bank of Greece, or can't do it anymore, and the eu falls.

but hey, it'll work in America, this time for realz

That's not an answer, it's an echo of Limbaugh. Sen. Sanders is speaking to the Silent Majority, the vast number of American working men and women who see the inequity of crony capitalism.

The wealthy don't use their wealth to create jobs, for the most part new jobs are created by consumer demand or technological advances. Great wealth is created by using other peoples money, those people Jesus tossed out of the temple.

Sanders has brought OWS out of the street and into the debate. Banks and bankers are usurers, using our money and paying us interests rates less than 1%, and loaning our money at exorbitant rates of interest.

you just lied, you just got told history and then lied about it.

you are going to destroy America and will be shocked once you have succeeded.

you think bern will stop cronyism?

:lmao:

I'm sorry to tell you, but he won't b/c his party is chin deep in it.

and I don't listen to rush, I can see what happens and admit the truth, you're just an idiot that thinks socialism will work, this time, and will be shocked when it doesn't

I'm afraid that Sanders will turn the USA into Greece or Venezuela at best and the old USSR at worst

If the republicans run against infrastructure, science, education, minimum wage, safetynet and sane regulations...Well, the republicans will lose.
Are there any Rs running against infrastructure, science, education, minimum wage, safetynet and sane regulations?

By shifting the tax burden more to the rich; shouldn't that give them more say? More power? After all, if they're the ones paying for most of it...?

Let's see now...Bernie is for MORE and BIGGER government because it works so well. CRAZY!!!
.
That said, I would take him over Cankles or Lil' Jebby in a New York minute.

Oh, I doubt they're afraid of him.

The current thinking appears to be "Sanders = socialist = Cuba = no one wants that = dismissed".

Incorrect, of course, but I suspect that's about as far as it goes at this point.
.

Exactly, except I leave out Cuba, who cares about Cuba.

Do I think the country will vote in a elderly Jewish socialist? I'm reading a biography of Ethel Rosenberg (executed for passing the secret of the atom bomb to the Soviets and also a Jewish socialist-communist) and I'm thinking not.

right after he was elected to congress for his first term i asked him what he thought of Washington D.C. he grinned at me and said "it's big".

i think he might have been right. but no... he's not scary in any way, shape or form. he just isn't...

valerie jarrett and david axelrod are.

also bernie is one of the few people not to get rich off their own government. (e.g. harry reid)

He is the only candidate who actually cares one iota about the average working person. The vast majority of working people make enough to barely make ends meet. They arent going to ever really get ahead but they tough it out and keep working the tails off. Where is their support? Answer? They really dont count. Tells you something about this country. The average worker is going to wake up someday and say wait a minute. Perhaps its begun. Class warfare needs to be a part of this election otherwise we can watch the worker take it on the chin more and more.

No, actually what brought us out of the depression was World War II

I think that's probably true. There are still enough people who are concerned with that word, and there is probably not enough time to get voters to understand the difference between socialism and a social democracy.

But his words are going to leave a mark, and the Republicans better start coming up with a retort for social democracy, or they'll be in for a big surprise very soon.
