Republicans: admit you are afraid of Bernie Sanders

He is drawing in more crowds than any candidate on both sides of the aisle. 29,000 in Portand is his highest number so far. That kind of rally support is unprecedented this early in campaign season. The reason why he hasn't surpassed Hillary in the polls is because he is not as well known as she is across the U.S. He lacks her name recognition. That will soon change of course. Oh, and unlike Trump, he didn't have to hire people to come to his early rallies. Let's also not forget that Sanders is proposing actual policy ideas unlike Trump. Apparently all a republican has to do to win in the polls is be a total drama queen.

Polls already show that most Americans favor a wide range of progressive issues. In fact, most of what Sanders is running on, most Americans already support. As this race goes on, don't you think he poses a huge threat to republicans?
anyone not a full leftist with any love for America should fear bern.

his hate for freedom and capitalism and just plain ol' being an America is very clear.

He wants to use the same policies that have led to the ruin of every leftist country that tries them. The only countries still holding on are in the EU, but it's only a matter of time before Germany gets tired of being the Bank of Greece, or can't do it anymore, and the eu falls.

but hey, it'll work in America, this time for realz
Nothing Sanders supports has anything to do with ending capitalism. Maybe you should try reading up on his actual policies.
He is a socialist you fucking idiot that is the opposite of capitalism.

All these countries spend on infrastructure, science, education and police. This is the reality of civilization!

I support capitalism but it needs to be regulated for damn good reasons.

He poses a bigger threat to Hillary and the Dems than he does to the Repubs and as a fiscal conservative I love Bernie for two reasons:
1) His candidacy has removed the façade from the New Democratic Party whose legion of loony leftists are out-of-the-closet and running with the bulls, and
2) Given the stark reality that the guy is currently on his best behavior and if elected would expose his more radical socialist side, it is extremely unlikely he could ever win an election (except maybe in some loony left state).

Oh, I doubt they're afraid of him.

The current thinking appears to be "Sanders = socialist = Cuba = no one wants that = dismissed".

Incorrect, of course, but I suspect that's about as far as it goes at this point.
.

Exactly, except I leave out Cuba, who cares about Cuba.

Do I think the country will vote in a elderly Jewish socialist? I'm reading a biography of Ethel Rosenberg (executed for passing the secret of the atom bomb to the Soviets and also a Jewish socialist-communist) and I'm thinking not.
Next time you accuse a Democrat of anti-semitism remember this post.

Yes, as long as you don't run out of other peoples money, socialism works.

small, oil rich countries can stick it to the oil companies and still function, when the wells dry up, they are totally fucked.

I think it's ridiculous to assume he will be unveiling more progressive platforms down the road. He is already the most progressive politician in the country. There really isn't anything else radical he could propose. We already know exactly what he stands for and he still gets huge crowds.

It scares the fuck out of me when someone goes off on those that produce in this country and are vilified and
those that don't Bernie wants them to be rewarded.

Well, the biggest corporations are screwing over American businesses by outsourcing + bringing in h1b's. This means there's less ability for the producers here in America to compete....So ask yourself something...Is this really good for American business? Now ask yourself another thing...In the 50's and 60's the top 5% paid 60% of their income in taxes and we had the most powerful middle class in the history of our species.

What is wrong with making the top pay a little more? I love businesses and the private sector but reality also has a public sector that is just as important.

he wants to increase taxes on the wealthy, the people that create jobs.
he wants to use tax dollars to pay for more stuff

that answers both questions.

The United States is the wealthiest country in the world, with more billionaires people per capita than any other nation in the WORLD. If they were truly the ones who create good jobs, America would not look like THIS, with more than 4 out of 10 people living in poverty. That's as bad as communist China and Putin's post-communist Russia!

Dan Quale could make a comeback 25 years later and be more electable than Bernie Sanders..........in a general election, Sanders might...........MIGHT get 1% of the independent vote!!:2up::eusa_dance::eusa_dance:

Anybody who would think Sanders could get elected in the United States has a plate in their head.:itsok:

Can you point out a single first world nation that doesn't pave their own roads with tax dollars, have science institutions and think education is important? Also, I am sure the oil-companies enjoy the police, roads and stability our government grants them.

Yet, they have the fucking nerve to outsource and bring in hundreds of thousands of h1b's. Look at Europe with its 30,000-80,000 per capita/year for its population. Europe has better roads, has top rated science institutions and has better educational systems. It works very well...

I am not saying that America isn't respectable but we could do a hell of a lot better.

The rich have sold America down the river for foreign workers and this is why our middle class has died.

I said he hates capitalism

and his policies will destroy America just like it's destroyed every other country.

but you will vote for him anyway, b/c like the sheep you are, you think the bad shit that happens everyfuckinggoddamntime wont happen here.

it's ignorant people like you that have taken us down this road.
Why would you think he hates capitalism? His policies and speeches do not reflect such a thing. What policies exactly do you think would destroy America? Be specific.
he wants to increase taxes on the wealthy, the people that create jobs.

That's not an answer, it's an echo of Limbaugh. Sen. Sanders is speaking to the Silent Majority, the vast number of American working men and women who see the inequity of crony capitalism.

The wealthy don't use their wealth to create jobs, for the most part new jobs are created by consumer demand or technological advances. Great wealth is created by using other peoples money, those people Jesus tossed out of the temple.

Sanders has brought OWS out of the street and into the debate. Banks and bankers are usurers, using our money and paying us interests rates less than 1%, and loaning our money at exorbitant rates of interest.
you think bern will stop cronyism?

:lmao:

I'm sorry to tell you, but he won't b/c his party is chin deep in it.

and I don't listen to rush, I can see what happens and admit the truth, you're just an idiot that thinks socialism will work, this time, and will be shocked when it doesn't

Calling me an idiot is not a rebuttal; doing so is a common practice of those who lack the ability and intelligence to offer a credible counterpoint.

You may not listen to Limbaugh, but you are parroting right wing propaganda, and the meme that anyone who criticizes the financial services industry must be a closet commie.

These people lack the critical thinking skills to see any nuance in political issues. You are either a communist or a rightwing nut job - there is no middle ground in their eyes.

Yes, we have lots of rich people.
The problem is that our middle class is going away.
