Taxation should pay for spending. If it goes on the credit card and we get tax cuts that fuels more spending.

The only way to stop Congress from spending is the same way you stop your wife from spending.

Cancel the credit cards

This means that the only legal way to stop them is for the states to rise up and amend the Constitution to impose some sort of spending restrictions, otherwise, Congress will continue to raise the debt exponentially. But this has never been done before, and with the corrupt nature of politics in general in the US today, the likelihood of this every happening is next to zero, probably even less than zero.

So what will happen is what happened with the credit crisis. Before the credit crisis, everyone was happy. The mortgage companies had record mortgages even though many should not have qualified for a mortgage but forced to give mortgages, thanks to government policies in place, people were happy as record numbers had homes for the first time, Wall Street was happy because they somehow used these bad mortgages as disguised investments people bought, so complicated Warren Buffet could not even understand it all, and politicians were happy as they bragged at how they had accomplished so much with their new policies on forcing mortgage companies to give mortgages to bad risk clients...……………...until...………………...the bubble burst

When the bubble bursts next time on all this bad debt, it won't go so well.
