Ask any hospitals that have foreign nationals. Hospitals recruit internationally to fill their vacancies. There are not enough qualified medical, engineering and other high skilled labor here in the US. US. Corporations are partitioning constantly to raise immigration limits to fill their needs.

This righty is a patient at the world famous Cleveland Clinic. When you go to their downtown campus, you are the one that feels like a foreigner. Yup. An increase in prices doesn’t mean squat until you sell. And with the jump in property taxes, retirees might have to do that. My monthly tax is MORE than my P&I.

I'm lucky my property taxes on my land is under $200 a year, but it was over $600 a year when I had my other house. I gave that to my son and moved down here a year and half ago.

My homes are up about $220k…..CHEERS

Pension and SS are income
My pension and SS went up $550 a month in Jan…..CHEERS
Gas, food, restaurants increases ate up most of that….OUCH

In total, I am slightly better off since January

most retirees are worse off than two years ago. yes inflation pushes property values up, no benefit unless you sell it-----then what?
