Rhode Island State Senator Cynthia Mendes: “when we’re sure homelessness has been resolved & no one is going to freeze to death, the protest will end”

And? He instructed us to help the poor.
The poor, we don't have problems with. Poverty is only a part -- and I would call it a less than significant part -- of the problem.

Invest an hour and watch with an open mind the video I linked in post #6, and learn something.

Yes, the Bible gives instruction on what YOU do on a very PERSONAL level.

It doesn't push communism directed by government

I guess we end this conversation at your ignorant statement. Anything you can't explain or defend you label "communism". It's weak and cheap and there is nothing to gain by continuing.

If you push YOUR personal responsibility on government and use GOVERNMENT to FORCE your neighbor to support your other neighbors, YOURE A COMMUNIST.

That's what our entire economic system is built on.

If "charity" was working these people would not still need help.
How many homeless people are currently living with you, Mr. empty virtue signaler?

The truth of the matter is that the largest percentage of these people are drug addicts and have absolutely zero work ethic. They do not WANT to contribute to society, only take from it, and enabling them as you support doesn't ACTUALLY help them. A smaller number are mentally ill, and do suffer from a system that refuses to treat them while placing the burden of dealing with them upon police instead of mental health institutions. These people do need help, but it needs to be actual help and not just handing them things so you can feel good and then walk away

Good on her.

Whoever despises his neighbor is a sinner, but blessed is he who is generous to the poor.

Proverbs 14:21

Whoever oppresses a poor man insults his Maker, but he who is generous to the needy honors him.

Proverbs 14:31

But I posted what the Bible did say.

I have. Do you have a point or are you saying that the rest of the Bible can be ignored?

If "charity" was working these people would not still need help.
Translation:
“I really miss those traditional hardcore Bible thumping ‘Conservatives’, the suckers we could easily bully by throwing a Bible verse in their face…we could get those passive dumbasses to do anything with a simple guilt trip. The bastards finally grew a pair of balls and now they won’t ignore us disgusting degenerates as we run amok, trashing and transforming their nation into the no borders, no boundaries anything goes socialist shithole we seek.”

The true hear of the republicans beating on this thread. Trillions in tax breaks for the wealthy and the banks and corporations and zero for the needy and homeless cuz it might make them lazy.

I am not fan of Bible Thumping Conservatives. They are the ones who believe their riches should go to a larger cathedral and watching the wife get it on with the pool boy.

For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: "if a man will not work, he shall not eat".

“We must do more for the homeless and poor dark people…we can do more for them by recruiting millions of Mexico’s most desperate, most illiterate citizens.”
