Rich Guys Leaving California

You're right. I stopped and fished that area two years ago, then headed to southwest montana. Excellent small streams, meadow streams, and solitude.

Grew up in Bozeman, Mt. The Gallatin, Madison and the Yellowstone were my rivers of choice. Trouble was, I thought all rivers fished like those three....I was sorely mistaken. :(

The creeks in the area were full of Brookies and Rainbows.
Mosey on down to North Routt....The guides I know in Steamboat tell me the stream fishing is out of this world.

The big upshot is that there's very little chance that the area will ever become a magnet for the Jackson/Vail/Aspen jet set.

Steamboat is truly a beautiful place. Four seasons and a fall to die for with gold aspens everywhere. :)

wait till most of the residents of cally wake up someday and realize many of the doctors that used to live in their home towns have vanished. sure they will still be in the yellow pages, then the rats who voted for Moonballs drive to the clinic, and see that it has been closed, maybe a sign on the door "Sorry, We Have Closed and Moved To Do Obama-Care". (or something like that)

I hear north Routt County (Walden) is a great place for stream fly fishing....Remote and quite affordable, too.

I hear you. Those are blue ribbon rivers. What an awesome place to grow up! I've been fishing those rivers for the last fifteen years. I like to nymph fish the Gallatin and use dry flies on the Yellowstone and Madison. I've floated the Madison several times and have been going to three dollar bridge since 2000. That area of the Madison, right below the dam, whitewater, has some huge rainbows. I landed a 30 inch brown on a #16 caddis a few years ago. Check out that area that Oddball was talking about. It has some really nice streams and there is no pressure at all. Also, the Clark Fork, Blackfoot, Bitterroot are all excellent rivers, up near Missoula. West Bitterroot near Darby, Mt has some nice cutts.

Another good area is the Salmon River in Idaho. You can throw some big flies at those fish. Some areas rarely ever get fished.

lets face it, the dumbest of the dumb voters in Cally voted for Rats, and did they have any clue regarding where tax dollars were pissed away on? Maybe even paying for second homes of all of their leaders? Doesn't Harry Reid live in Marriott or Ritz Carelton? and he was having a gay pansy fit over Romney not paying taxes?

when California collapses in 2014, who will they blame? Global Warming?

The rest of the country.

Besides, it won’t collapse. We will bail them out over and over and over…

We are all going to go down the drain together like good little socialists.

There's no money left to bail out anyone............except the Banks - which O. said he would do again with no problem. Cali is a lost cause and Brown was the last shovel of dirt in the cemetery.
