Really, you think Mitt would have allowed our troops to be charged with local offenses according to Iraqi law? What makes you think he'd do that to our troops? Furthermore, it was President Bush who empowered the Iraqis to do so. Well according to your Time article.
See post #60 to see how wrong you are.
From your link on Post #60
The Bush Administration had agreed in 2004 to restore Iraqi sovereignty, and in 2005 put the country’s elected government in charge of shaping its destiny. But President Bush hadn’t anticipated that Iraqi democracy would see pro-U.S. parties sidelined and would, instead, consistently return governments closer to Tehran than they are to Washington.
There you have it. President Bush gave them the power.
In the words of the Brown Bomber: 'You can run, but you can't hide."
You claimed that Bush couldn't get an agreement to leave troops.
I showed that you were wrong....and, in fact, he provided three years for the community organizer to show his chops....troops could remain until 2012.
He couldn't.
So...you provide the above quote....which has nothing to do with the point.
That's pretty much you flying the white flag, huh?
