Very good, it shows that the GOP set the ground work for the Great Recession as the unemployment climbed steadly in the last year of the GOP in the white house.

You forgot the 10 years Obama spent teaching Constitutional Law at the University level or the more than 800 pieces of legislation Obama wrote or co-wrote during his 8 years in the Illinois senate of the 129 pieces of legislation he wrote or co-wrote while in the US senate, or his academic achievements.

The website states that the Alaska residents opposed the jet so Palin did the right thing in selling it despite the loss of value. She put the citizens wishes first.

This isn't directed toward you Army.

Obviously, there is a loss of value, it's a used plane that has depreciated.

If you have a 2010 Honda Accord, and you sell it in 2015, with 100,000 miles on it, you will have a loss on the sale.

If you have a plane the longer you have it the more it depreciates and the less it's valuable.

The point is that Sarah Palin saved the operating expense by selling it at the expense of her own personal comfort.

Once again, Obama, on the other hand, takes million dollar dates at taxpayers' expense.

Mr. Murkowski’s office tried to obtain money from the Homeland Security Department to buy the jet, saying it would help “defend, deter or defeat opposition forces.” He was denied. Later, in 2005, against the wishes of the Legislature, Mr. Murkowski used state money to buy it for $2.7 million.

Ms. Palin, a former mayor of an Anchorage suburb, was among many critics who said the move showed that Mr. Murkowski was arrogant and out of touch after decades as a top Alaska official, including more than three terms in the United States Senate. Ms. Palin defeated Mr. Murkowski soundly in the Republican primary and won the general election last November.

In December, barely a week after being inaugurated, Ms. Palin said the plane would be sold on eBay.
