Rubio (R) addresses angry mob of conservatives

well dots, just because you Democrats walk in lockstep and NEVER question anything your elected masters do, that doesn't mean Republican do...and Rubio deserves the anger he stabbed the people he Represents in the back and is acting like the Democrats and trying to shove this on the people without them seeing what's in it..We DON'T need another bill like ObamaCare pushed where according to Pelosi, you had to pass the piece of shit in order to see what's in it..

TPM will claim R when it suits them and C when it doesn't.

Rubio, Rand, and Christie are smart enough to use but not trust them.

Marco realizes that the Repub party will cease to be relevant on the national scene unless it nips in the bud the nativists/xenophobes in its ranks.

Perhaps.

But no other republican politician will dare cross the TPM and risk being primaried.

The TPM, social conservatives, Christian fundamentalists, fiscal extremists, and the rest of the dross of the far right will unfortunately be running the GOP for years to come.
being primaried is code for conservatives warning people in their own party what they can and can't do. Scary
TPM will claim R when it suits them and C when it doesn't.

he knows whats best in the long run. Not the rubes who voted for him.

Marco Rubio responds to angry tea party activists
Weathering conservative attacks on his immigration reform work “has been a real trial,” Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) said Wednesday, in a speech aimed at the tea party activists who helped elect him and are now upset by his work on the issue.

What say you? Rubio (R) betrayed the tea party voters who elected him (conservative voters in Florida) or amnesty-loving bureaucrat?

:eek:A  politician  lied  to  get  elected?:eek::eek:

Beware Democrats bearing gifts.

beware advice from a idiot Democrat who resorts to calling people stupid names..they could give two shits if this is good for the country, just as long as they can call Repulicans, nativist and xenophobes

ummm..... I've never claimed to be a Democrat Stepie :eusa_naughty: Never joined that party. I am a Progressive, yes. No party affiliation though. I'm somewhat saddened that Barack is a moderate IMO- no single payer, & he didn't jail any of the banksters. Too bad we didn't let more of those speculative banks fail & then demand real reform, as opposed to the republican, watered-down reform that we got. But thats another topic :)

House Immigration Bill Drafter: I Don't Know What Everything Means in My Bill

by Tony Lee 29 Jun 2013, 11:36 AM PDT 66 post a comment

A Republican member of the Gang of 7 in the House acknowledged on Friday that there were things in the comprehensive immigration bill he is helping to draft that even he did not understand.

Rep. John Carter (R-TX), while saying the House bill would have border security "triggers" without offering specifics, acknowledged, "There are things in the bill that I don't know what they mean because I'm not an immigration lawyer.”

Carter's comment emphasizes how difficult it is for legislators to not only read the bill but to fully understand what they are voting for.

all of it here

You know, I think it's a good start. No illegals can profit from this for ten years of paying taxes and working legally in this country. They don't get the benefits of Social security or health care and the border must be fixed with at least a minimum of the details laid out and funded by the bill. Since they don't have citizenship, they can't vote or run for public office or get a government job. They have to pass a full background check before they can begin the process to citizenship. They can't apply for family visas as the rules apply only to the individual.

It is not perfect, and yes it is a delayed amnesty bill but with provisions built in to it for fines that the illegals must pay before anything else happens. This is the best I have seen or heard about that has a chance of getting through as a law.

There is always next time to make it tougher. There is always next time to make the borders more secure. It does stop the train that goes from Mexico to the United States. There is still a road there but we can address that the next time.

I think he has been instrumental in starting the progress in the correct order and in the correct direction. Let's face it, what the Tea Party and ultra right Republicans want has no chance of getting passed and this is a lot better than what the Democrats wanted.

What's the difference between a prog and a commie?

A commie is man enough to admit he's a commie.

I guess Progressive means walking in lockstep with a certain party.
this Democrat party isn't progressive they are regressive and tyrants...some people do love those though..

Angry mob? Is that how you characterize the senate? Rubio's speech was given during a session at the senate. Where was the angry mob? The post inadvertently illustrates the real difference between republicans and democrats. The Tea Party activists put political pressure on Rubio while angry angry democrats (including OWS) obstruct traffic on a good day and on a bad day they engage in arson and looting.

the is no honesty or honor in some of these people in their postings..they have to make up shit for dramatics sake to try and paint Republicans in a bad light..

that is a Progessive for you..anything for the party...Party over Country

Now he sees what happens when you talk like a libertarian and govern like any other member of the socialistic inside-the-beltway ruling class.

Tough shit for him.

Tea Party voters deserve some of the blame as well. Are there any "Tea Party candidates" that the Tea Party isn't already disappointed with? Rand Paul may be the closest thing to a Libertarian. The rest were always "inside-the-beltway" Republicans that managed to hoodwink Tea Party voters into supporting them.

when I think of the word hoodwinked I think of the millions of minorities and their loyalties to the democrat party, Now rhat's hoodwinked.

How? They certainly have a LOT more representation in the Democrat party than the Republican party.

The problem is that Rubio caved to the Democrats on too many issues in the bill.

1 - Amnest First when we were promise border security first.

2 - DHS being able to cancel the wall being built at will.

3 - No new border agents for 2 years

4 - Pork for Las Vegas and Alaska

5 - Obama-cars and scooters

6 - More "Stimulus" spending

what's good about passing a piece of shit legislation....?

illegals really aren't worried if they don't have citizenship....they like it here and are going nowhere....their kids are going to become citizens by being born here...

Dems may promise controlling the border up the ying yang but they will never really do it...there's a big difference between legislation and actual Federal enforcement and the 'waivers' are numerous....the bill will never 'stop the train'.....Dems will turn their heads and illegals will continue to come here...

however both Rino Reps & Dem employers will get more cheap illegal labor that they don't have to pay Obamacare for OR the fines.....(neat little exemption)

Dems will get more votes....and more campaign funds financed by the incoming students and their school unions...

so what's in it for conservatives?......not one damn thing....we even lost Rubio...
