There is a TAX on getting natural gas from Russia....they turn off the supply when they like, ask Ukraine in the past. Russia also charges what they like since it is a monopoly.

I do agree with the OP in that we should farm our own natural resources and stop being beholden to foreign oil (especially from the Middle East). We could solve all sorts of problems by tapping into our own oil reserves.

1) Fix the unemployment problem.
2) Quickly pay off our national debt and become a lender instead of a borrower.
3) "Stick it" to the Arab nations and their dirty oil.
4) Raise the standard of living for hard working Americans.
