Russia Caves In: Pressures Syria To Put Chemical Weapons Under International Control

Syria has always denied it had chemical weapons. They denied it to Bush, they have denied it to the UN, they have denied it to everyone who ever demanded they fess up.

Now, they not only just admitted they do have chemical weapons, they are offering to remove them from their country.

Boy, they sure did punk Obama! BWA-HA-HA-HA-HA!

They threatened to use them a year ago---try again.

Link please.

They were CAUGHT loading them onto ordnance by intelligence services.

In the last days of November, Israel’s top military commanders called the Pentagon to discuss troubling intelligence that was showing up on satellite imagery: Syrian troops appeared to be mixing chemicals at two storage sites, probably the deadly nerve gas sarin, and filling dozens of 500-pounds bombs that could be loaded on airplanes.

No, right now the MSM is in full anti-Obama mode. It's right there with the newly discovered r-wing flower-children.
Who'd a thunk?

link?

What? Have not you seen or read the media-driven articles and anti-Obama skewed polls lately?

CNN Poll: Part of Syria strike opposition is the messenger's fault - CNN.com

Washington (CNN) -- A new national poll suggests that as President Barack Obama prepares to try to convince a skeptical American public why the U.S. should take military action against Syria, he may be partly to blame for the box he's put himself into.

The CNN/ORC poll released Tuesday indicates that Americans are divided evenly on whether Obama is a strong leader as well as whether he's honest and trustworthy.

"One concern is the messenger himself," CNN Polling Director Keating Holland said. "The public's split right down the middle on whether Obama is a strong leader, whether he is honest and trustworthy, and whether he inspires confidence.

And the poll also found that only one in five say they completely understand Obama's Syria policy."

This is just one example of the many, many drive-by, anti-Obama MSM hit piece. This has been going on since Benghazi. The MSM is in bed with the r-wingers for now. The MSM shifts to the right when it's convenient for them. They did it when Bush was elected... twice. They loved Bush at first. They flipped-flopped again in 2010 when the tea party came in to play. The tea party was a new toy for them and they played them up to the hilt.

They jumped on the anti-Obama bandwagon again at the beginning of the debates... when Obama stumbled momentarily hoping to have a sensationalism story to sell.

Open your eyes.

:lmao:

OMG, that's hillarious. Scathing words like divided and not sure they understand...

I don't know whether it's funnier how thin skinned you are that you consider this a "drive by ... hit piece" or that you think this is comparable to what they did to W.

And this is the best you can come up with? My point exactly...

Why are people still arguing about this? It's a done-deal. Syria has agreed to get rid of their Chemical Weapons. They've invited the UN in to monitor the process. There will be no War. It's time to turn the page.

Are we pretending that we aren't supporting the "rebels" and the Saudi effort to depose Assad ? :eusa_shhh:

Yes, that's a big problem too. We shouldn't be spending American Tax Dollars on arming Syrian 'Rebels.' That should end immediately.

It might still be a secret-----Obama never mentions that little item..:eusa_shhh:

Not gonna happen, wouldn't be prudent.

Firstly, you should not buy into the gassing incident - that is merely a subterfuge which will allow Obama to attack Assad hoping that Iran and Lebanon will retaliate thereby providing the War Party another pretext to attack the latter.

If Obama doesn't attack Syria soon or if he vacillates there will be another gassing incident, this time directed at Israel.

Mark my words.

Hey, I agree with you on this one!

I'm much more optimistic. The UN will monitor the process. War with Syria is unnecessary.

US TURNS HEAT ON SYRIA

Syria has conducted chemical weapons tests during the past 15 months, US defence secretary Donald Rumsfeld has said.

"We have seen a chemical weapons tests in Syria over the past 12, 15 months," he said.

Syria denies it has chemical weapons.

Rumsfeld said the United States also has intelligence that Syria has allowed Syrians and others enter Iraq with arms and leaflets indicating that they would be rewarded for killing Americans.

Road to war

Amid fears that the US could embark on the road to war with Syria, British foreign secretary Jack Straw has played down talk that Britain could go to war with Syria.

As US-Syrian tension mounts, Washington has announced that it is considering imposing sanctions against Syria for its support of the deposed Iraqi regime.

US Secretary of State Colin Powell said: "We will examine possible measures of a diplomatic, economic or other nature as we move forward.

"We are in touch with Syrian authorities ... and will make them aware of our concerns and we'll see how things unfold as we move forward."

Denied allegations

Syria has insisted it never co-operated with Saddam Hussein's administration and has denied the US allegation that it had chemical weapons.

"We say to president George Bush that Syria has no chemical weapons and that the only chemical, biological and nuclear weapons in the region are in Israel, which is threatening its neighbours and occupying their land," Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Buthaina Shaaban said.

an article from 2003 refutes an article from 2012 ? Are we going backwards in time to try to score points ??:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Funny------That's what Assad will probably say now that Obama and Kerry have given him the opening. Linkage.

Israel is an ally. Al quaeda is not an ally of anyone except the liberal obamabots who want Christians murdered.

Not gonna happen, wouldn't be prudent. The new messiah Putin, would never allow an attack on Israel by his puppet Assad. Too much to lose for Putin the 'peacemaker'.
