ROFL! So called "state capitalism" is a euphemism socialists invented to disassociate themselves from the fruits of putting their ideas into action. Whenever a country actually attempts to implement socialism they call the result "state capitalism." When a country was formerly capitalist but implements a smattering of socialist ideas they call it "social democracy." They call the United States "capitalist" even though it's economy is virtually indistinguishable from the so-called "social democracies." Whenever the economy of a "social democracy" goes into the toilet from the socialist economic policies it implemented, they call it "capitalist," or they accuse the United States of sabotaging its economy.

Fascism is largely based on the system put in place by Augustus Caesar, who used the syndicates to effect his economic policies. We have roughly equated the syndicates to corporations, but they were really quite different - similar to Mafia families. Far from a limit of liability, the syndicate boss, or captain, was liable with his life for the performance of his Latifundia, his enterprise. These were more than just industries, they were clans. Under Il Duce these syndicates ran not single operations, but industries. One of the markers of Capitalism is competition. This was forbidden under Mussolini. If the Latifundia in charge of glass making was challenged by a competitor, Il Duce would dispatch men to kill those competitors. Captains operated under the direct authority of the state. That they were allowed a profit changed nothing about the fact that Fascism was and is a command economy ruled from the top.

The syndicates are similar to the kind of Cartels that FDR tried to establish with the NRA. I actually learned something from that. I didn't know about the function of these "Latifundia," although I had read the term before.

What you just pointed out is that FDR attempted to implement fascism in this country, although no one but the libturds are surprised by that fact.

When did the unemployed become eligible for Social Security? If FDR and Hoover hadn't destroyed the economy with the "progressive" economic policies, there would have been no bread lines.
