Sarah Huckabee Sanders erupts: "ESPN must fire host for calling Trump white supremacist"

She is also a private citizen and has a right to speak out as a private citizen. If you work for a company maybe you should be fired for speaking as a private citizen.

That does not mean she has the right to slander the President of our country by calling him a White Supremacist.

Wow, you are starting to sound like a White Supremacist yourself.

Does any of your friends know that you are a White Supremacist?

She has the right to express her opinion. She did not do it on company time or company property. Trump is a public figure so it is not slander. You really think standing up for the first amendment makes someone a white supremacist. You really have no idea what this country is about you Nazi.

Hank Williams Jr. Made his statements on his own time. He was fired by ESPN.

Two wrongs don't make a right.

If that was the issue I'd understand, the issue is who says it. Schilling was let go from ESPN because of his politics.
Yes but to the leftist extremist hypocrites that is probably different.......

Sarah Huckabee-Sanders speaking her mind about what she thinks that ESPN should do

Correct. Which is the same right to opinion the ESPN gal has. Like it or lump it.

with such a nasty type person who speaks as ESPN's representative

She did not tweet as "ESPN's representative".

slandering the president of the United States claiming he is a White Supremacist

How is that "slander"? Ask Steve McRacist or Cnelsen or Conservative65 if they mind being white supremacists. They're proud of it. "And if the rest of the country had followed our lead we wouldn'ta had all these problems over all these years either"

generally I tune out anything you have to say

It shows.

Unless the bitch has absolute proof that Donald J. Trump is a White Supremacist

There's no such thing. It's a value judgment. You know --- like "bitch". You know -- like "nasty". It can't be quantified. Like "slanderous bullshit". Like "hypocrite". Like "hack". You can't quantify value judgments and you sure as fuck can't exercise your fascistic little fantasies of controlling other people's feelings and thoughts.

Sucks2BU huh. :itsok:

Man up and face it finally. You drool at the feet of a moron who paints himself orange and can't take the heat.
You just keep showing your ignorance over and over again but carry on as that is what you are.
hi rodishi!

this might help as far as ''legal slander, libel''....it's not up to the person calling another person something defamatory to prove it, it's up to the plaintiff...the person claiming what someone said about them, is not true.

And it's also near impossible for a celebrity or famous person like Trump, to sue and win, because they also have to show intentional lying and not simply opinion... and malice....that they were financially etc harmed.

If someone damages your reputation by way of slander or libel, you may have grounds to sue for defamation. "Slander" is the crime of making a false, spoken statement damaging a person’s reputation. "Libel" is a false published, written statement damaging a person’s reputation. Some states combine libel and slander claims under the umbrella term “defamation.” Other states still distinguish between the two, requiring the appropriate civil suit for the respective offense. Defamation cases are notoriously difficult to win since the burden of proof is on the plaintiff to prove that a statement is defamatory and damaging. Even if a statement is defamatory, many cases (such as cases involving someone who is a public figure) require proving actual malice.[1]

I did not say he could sue but the fact is what she said is slanderous. As a celebrity she can say it but that does not make it so. Thinking someone has to prove that they are not something that someone else claims they are would also be utter nonsense unless the person making those claims has some sort of proof. Also if she signed a contract which is most likely she has one with ESPN they may very well have the right to end their contract with her even if she is making those claims on a personal account.

what she said is slanderous. As a celebrity she can say it

You just took two different sides in successive sentences.

Go with the latter. Except "as a celebrity" is irrelevant. I never even heard of her until now.

And you know what else --- a lot of other people would have either never heard of her or been unaware of her tweets (or both) if Rumpledforeskin didn't throw his little hissy-tantrum. That made it a "story".

O'bama and Bush were both called Nazis and worse. Why can't Rump just fucking grow a pair?

Nice Checkers Speech, Tricky Dick but nobody's arguing ESPN can't fire somebody, for this or any other reason.

What's at issue here is that it's not Rump's place, nor Huckbee-Sanders' place, to try to end around via her employer just to shut her up because they don't like her opinions. And taking that route exposes them for their rank hypocrisy.

Rump took an oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution. The First Amendment has the starring role in that document. If he can't live with that --- then he should have never taken that oath.

theres obviously a double standard for conservatives and liberals at BSPN. With that said, I just want them to focus on sports and stay away from politics. I know that may be too much to ask in this climate where everything is about politics, but it would be nice. I dont watch BSPN unless I'm watching a game. Its gotten that bad.

She is on an international venue which does put her in that hired performer celebrity status category.

Why should people that support Trump be silenced about calling out bullshit? Because you say so? piss off.

Again you go making up crap that floats through your puny brain.

It shows they are hypocrites if they don't fire her. They have already willing fired others for making what they consider political a statements.

If he's not a white supremacist, than what the fuck is he?
A White Nationalist?
Trump is not a White Nationalist, doofus.

A White Nationalist would not let his kids marry Jews, for one thing, and he does not advocate for racial advantage to be given to whites which a White Nationalist would.

Trump is not even a 'Race Realist', lol.

You leftards just live on your own planet.
I think they think he's racist because he said, publicly, that he appreciates the tacos on Cinco de Mayo.

ESPN made no statement about politics. That's Rodishi's red herring --- he brought that bullshit in.

maybe not this time, but they're well known for bombarding their viewers with their left wing political views.

She is also a private citizen and has a right to speak out as a private citizen. If you work for a company maybe you should be fired for speaking as a private citizen.

A company can release an employee under a morality clause which gives an employer a lot of discretion to terminate. I wouldn't fire her for being stupid but she could be sued.

She cannot be sued. Trump is a public official so he is a public figure. I do believe that we need to protect people's right to express their views without fear of retribution.

You can sue anyone, for anything. Whether it is successful or not is the question.

I would think a President would have better things to do with his time. It would be a political disaster for something that will be bounced out of court.

How many times have I heard "political disaster" along with Trump. His "political disasters " were supposed to end his campaign before the first primary. Now he is President.

You make the assumption that things will remain the same in the future. Trump benefitted from a split Republican field. In SC for example, he won with only 32% of the vote. He won the general because voters decided to vote against Clinton. It was not a vote for Trump. If Democrats run a candidate that is seen as honest, Trump will be defeated.

What Sanders and Trump are doing is unconstitutional....using our dime for this unconstitutional act of calling for an employee of a private business to be fired FROM THE PODIUM of the govt bully pulpit....

IT BREAKS THE FIRST AMENDMENT....

ESPN must NOT fire her now.....and can not, or they will be involved in one of the biggest cases in our history against our government, and their unconstitutional measures, trying to take away a citizen's job for her first amendment right to speak out against our government and govt officials, just because they do not like what she said on twitter, on her own free time, that was not criminal in any way, shape or form....

Can you imagine if Bill or Hillary demanded a person be fired from the gvt podium, for passing bull crap and lies about her or him? Half the darn nation would be unemployed!!!!

Can Obama sue Trump for using his bully pulpit for accusing him of wire tapping him, for accusing Obama of being a sick criminal?

You guys are the biggest bunch of pussies and cry babies walking this earth.... jeebus!!!
