The Saudis are probably leery of the Iranians and figure that they will use these as a deterrent. I wonder if the Saudis still have the Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) which they purchased from the U.S. Years ago before those nuts took control of Iran, the Iranians would buy plenty from the U.S. and you would see members of the Iranian military in the Base Exchanges. If you asked them where they came from, they would always say Persia.
