Ah, two direct lies. You tying to sink to the level of Asslips?

claimed that it was god's will.. is that enough for ya?

So?

Columbus is the most influential man since Paul of Tarsus. Columbus never enslaved anyone and put his Governor of Hispaniola in Irons for enslaving the natives of Haiti.

If you leftists are right, why do you need to lie?
the liar here is you or to be more accurate the believer in the lies is you...
How Columbus sickened the New World: Why were native Americans so vulnerable to the diseases European settlers brought with them?
<img height="1" width="1" border="0" alt="" style="display:none" src="https://www.facebook.com/tr?id=283888028440926&ev=NoScript">

It is often said that in the centuries after Columbus landed in the New World on 12 October 1492, more native North Americans died each year from infectious diseases brought by European settlers than were born. They fell victim to epidemic waves of smallpox, measles, influenza, bubonic plague, diphtheria, typhus, cholera, scarlet fever, chicken pox, yellow fever, and whooping cough. Just how many died may never be known. For North America alone, estimates of native populations in Columbus's day range from 2 to 18 million. By the end of the 19th century the population had shrunk to about 530 000.

Staggering losses. But why, asked a perplexed French missionary working among the Mississippi Valley's Natchez in the 1700s, should 'distempers that are not very fatal in other parts of the world make dreadful ravages among them'? The answer seems obvious enough: because native Americans had no immunity to the imported ...

The funny thing is how liberals, by accusing Columbus of atrocities, they insinuate that ALL of the Natives here were all peace loving people who never started wars or murdered.

Like I said, they would never ever want to learn how the transatlantic trade started. Should I show what war lords (BLACK WAR LORDS) conquered many tribes in West Africa? They were of course.....muslims (what else is new) and they captured, enslaved, murdered, and raped. They also began to trade these people, who they considered infidels and worthless, to Europe (mainly Portugal) for weapons as well as other resources. Mainly in order to expand the territory they conquered.

You want me to go into detail about the names of the tyrants? Should I mention the race of each of these tyrants? You know sure as shit the left would not want me to do that.

You see, this is just one example of how the left galvanizes and rally. They want to destroy what we have learned in our history and thereby destroy all of the things that happened that were good. As though Columbus never did anything good, or accomplished anything.

The funny thing is how they claim they simply want the truth out about the true Columbus. Fine, while we are at it, let us learn about the truth about the history and origins of the transatlantic slave trade. Fair?

Do you lefties want me to get into specifics about the origins of the transatlantic slave trade? Thought not.

Hypocrites.

AD 1492: Taíno meet Columbus; “New World” gets new diseases
In the Bahamas, the Taíno are 125,000 strong in 1492 when they encounter the crew and the Italian captain of three Spanish ships. Christopher Columbus seeks a shorter sea route to India to help Spain get a foothold in the profitable spice trade. Instead, he lands in what Europeans will call the “New World.” His arrival sets off a fierce rivalry among European powers for colonies and riches, which lasts for centuries and unleashes deadly epidemics on the 30 million Native peoples living in the Americas, who lack any immunity to “Old World” diseases.

For starters the NA were in their home doing whatever they did to themselves. Lets compare apples to apples. Secondly Columbus even said the people he slaughtered were peaceful and did not engage in violent behavior.

They ... brought us parrots and balls of cotton and spears and many other things, which they exchanged for the glass beads and hawks' bells. They willingly traded everything they owned... . They were well-built, with good bodies and handsome features.... They do not bear arms, and do not know them, for I showed them a sword, they took it by the edge and cut themselves out of ignorance. They have no iron. Their spears are made of cane... . They would make fine servants.... With fifty men we could subjugate them all and make them do whatever we want.

The pedophile way.

Shockingly, Columbus supervised the selling of native girls into sexual slavery. Young girls of the ages 9 to 10 were the most desired by his men. In 1500, Columbus casually wrote about it in his log. He said: "A hundred castellanoes are as easily obtained for a woman as for a farm, and it is very general and there are plenty of dealers who go about looking for girls; those from nine to ten are now in demand."

Can someone tell me what kind of sick animal writes about something like this as if there is no issue and he is just reporting the weather?

{In a lot of the anti-Columbus/anti-European rhetoric, as well as with other topics of similar controversy, I’ve noticed that the writers & speakers never seem to give the benefit of the doubt regarding a particular piece of historical “evidence”. They always assume the worst, reading/interpreting things in the most negative way possible. What might be an isolated incident is assumed to be regular and habitual. What might be a matter of accident or ignorance is assumed to be intentional. What could be a practice only undertaken reluctantly or under coercion is assumed to be done freely and with enthusiasm. The picture painted of Columbus, then, becomes one of an evil-to-the-core, habitually cruel and savage tyrant, heartlessly issuing orders of torture and death on a whim and sentencing others to lives of great hardship and brutality, all while greedily amassing wealth (mostly gold) at the expense of others. But, I get no sense of him being such a monster. My own impression, even with all of the violence and inhumane crap that went down, was that Columbus was simply a man of his time. That isn’t to excuse most of it. But, it is to recognize that a) Columbus was but one of many European explorers/colonizers who treated native populations harshly at times, and b) though they went overboard at times, Columbus and his brothers probably thought they were acting reasonably to maintain order on the frontier for their masters back home.}

When is Columbus Day anyway? I never celebrated it before but I'll have to have a drink or two in his honor this time. I'll toast to Columbus, wear my Redskins t shirt, and carry my concealed weapon all at the same time. Maybe I'll then go to Chic-Fil-A, get a sandwich and go home and watch Duck Dynasty.

Anything else I can do to make liberals cry?
Liberals do not give a shit about what sorry fucks like you do. Do not flatter yourself, you are worthless.

Enslavement of the natives for starters.

I agree this is wrong, but I question if he was anything but a product of his society in that regard?

Why does that excuse him and warrant a holiday? He created that system in the americas when he didnt have to. By his own accounts the NA were not violent. As always its the white guys penchant for violence and mayhem.

I have no problem with the holiday. we should have more holidays.
I do have a major problem with willfully ignorant people who propagate the myth.

Celebrate the contributions of indians?? HAHAHA. Before the white man came, no indian tribe even had a written language. They were stone age people and they still would be except the white man takes care of them.

Columbus Day will now be Indigenous Peoples Day in Seattle Fox News

oct 6 2014
SEATTLE – The Seattle City Council is replacing Columbus Day with Indigenous Peoples' Day in the city.

The resolution that passed unanimously Monday celebrates the contributions and culture of Native Americans and the indigenous community in Seattle on the second Monday in October, the same day as the federally recognized Columbus Day.

Tribal members and other supporters say the move recognizes the rich history of people who have inhabited the area for centuries.

"This action will allow us to bring into current present day our valuable and rich history, and it's there for future generations to learn," said Fawn Sharp, president of the Quinault Indian Nation on the Olympic Peninsula, who is also president of the Affiliated Tribes of Northwest Indians.

"Nobody discovered Seattle, Washington," she said to a round of applause.

Oh wow, I misread the thread title..I thought it was "Replace it with INFECTIOUS people's day!"
