Fair enough on the first quote but I disagree with the second.Cheering? And we are cheering about him being assaulted why?
I see some justifying it and others saying it really is not justified. I really don't thin cheering is the right word. The SS protects people that are very high profile targets. I don't understand why this would be something that is not entirely expected. You can kill someone in an extremely short time span. The SS needs to react quickly and decisively to protect their charge.
I am not attempting to broad-brush, but I think "cheering" is an entirely correct way to describe some of the posts in this thread.
Like these:
Awwww ...the poor little bitch reporter got put in his place.
I love the 25 second mark..you can tell his balls just about dropped, better luck next time Sheila.
The Secret Service is an extremely professional law enforcement agency. Yes...some knuckleheads have done dumb shit here and there like any group of humans.
But...how often do you see an agent on duty for presidential or presidential candidate detail lose his cool??
This faggot liberal reporter deserved it.
Agree.I'm shocked that the Secret Service agent didn't have him arrested. You do not put your hands on FBI, Secret Service or police officers. EVER. You put your hands on them and you're going to jail. That liberal reporter should be behind bars right now awaiting a court hearing.Cheering? And we are cheering about him being assaulted why?

What I find interesting is that because the SS agent did not arrest the reporter and have him removed his actions look worse.
If he believed that the reporter was a threat (and his actions are only justified if that is the case) then it makes no sense to have left him where he was.

Not true. He reacted as trained to the situation when the pencil necked geek tried to break the security zone.
Once he saw the turtle defense he realized he was trying to control the equivalent of a 90 pound woman and helped him up like a nice guy.
Then the little weasel thought that was the perfect time to drop his balls because he perceived chivalry as weakness.
Turned out like all the times he got his ass whipped over the years....
Sieg Heil, Jeri!It will take awhile to train the liberal media. They don't have any concept of the word "Discipline"...... When Trump becomes president that is up for change.Trump is the one who tells them how he wants his security ran.
BTW................did you know that all the media is corralled into a small area 20 minutes before, and are kept there until AFTER Trump leaves the stage? If they need to go to the bathroom during that time, they must be escorted to the bathroom and back.
The reporter in question had stepped 18 inches outside the designated area, and that is why Trump's service detail body slammed him.

Actually, it wasn't a "security zone" it was a place where Trump corralled all the reporters because he doesn't like to be asked questions he can't control.
You DID notice that there were a lot of other people on the other side of that line, all milling about and watching, didn't you?

You are not going to go to prison but you certainly can be arrested and removed form the area when you disobey the commands of a police officer.Agree.I'm shocked that the Secret Service agent didn't have him arrested. The SS agent did not arrest the reporter because the reporter did not break any laws.
There is no law against brushing up against a secret service agent, nor is there a law against saying "fuck you" to the agent, or stepping out of a press corral.
It would be difficult to argue that this reporter presented any sort of threat to the agent or to Trump.
