Warren made a ridiculous amount for teaching one class. She is part of the reason why many can't afford college.

Once the burden falls on tax payers, the prices will go up even more. That is always how it goes when the government offers stuff for "free" to some people.

I'd rather pay off my own student loans instead of forever paying higher taxes.

If liberal professors think college should be free, then they can donate their time to teach instead of making $400,000 a year.

No they don't. In fact over half of my property tax goes to pay for schools I nor my tenants have children in. It's a rip-off. Not only should people pay for their own college, parents should pay the bill for their kids public school as well.

Europe has entrance standards, the U.S. doesn't, so no, it isn't a 'good idea' until they fix that little glitch. Maybe 10% or less of those there now even have an 8th grade level education.

Unfortunately have to start somewhere. Germany has EXTREMELY cheap college and within 5 years of a college graduate working in Germany they have paid back in taxes what their education cost the state.

And yet no Americans are moving to Germany.

Those that can qualify for technical jobs can, and do; my son immigrated there 6 years ago, and there is an American community near where he and my daughter in law live. My granddaughter goes to an arts school in France, and my grandson goes to an AB school in Switzerland; much better than they can do here.

Yep! I told my kids the same thing go to Europe! Get to travel AND its a more sane society.

80% of the kids who "graduate" high school can't read or write at grade level. Their "Free" education is a kiss of death on their ability to pursue any type of a career, with "government dependent" being the notable exception.

The wall will turn a profit. The amount of money illegals are costing us is staggering, put a stop to illegals and their goddamn crime and drugs and tax fraud and the wall will pay for itself many times over. The illegal tax fraud alone is $50 to $70 billion over the next 10 years.
