LAFAYETTE, La. -- Police are responding to a shooting a movie theater in which a suspect reportedly opened fire, during a film screening.
Louisiana State Police tell CBS News there are "a number of injuries" but the extent is unknown. They say the shooter situation is no longer active. It is unclear if the suspect was shot or arrested.
CBS News affiliate KLFY also reported the shooting situation at a movie theater in Lafayette, Louisiana.
Multiple injuries were also reported by the Lafayette Daily Advertiser, but the severity of the injuries was unclear. There was no confirmation that a suspect was in custody.
Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal said he was monitoring the situation.
