All one has to do is look at the worst States when it comes to debt and overreaching spending. Most of them have been solid blue for decades.

Of course Logrolling, Lobbyist and propaganda by special interest would hamper fiscal responsibility, and the call for a balanced budget law, which many states require, would limit the powers of the Congress to appropriate funds for emergencies and other unforeseen events.

As anyone responsible for planning and managing a budget understands, unforeseen consequences - fires, floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes - for example, can create havoc in a budget, which are in reality only a plan.

The Democrats have promised to give illegals 'free' health care, education, housing, food, etc.....a MASSIVE increase in spending.

The Trump tax cuts have resulted in the largest amount of collected tax revenue in US history, the surplus of which could be used to help pay for their promised windfall to illegals. Instead the Democrats have declared they intend to sabotage the strongest economy in the last 50 years, eliminating that record-setting collected tax revenue...

If they win and drag the economy backwards by dismantling the current successful economy, raising taxes on people whose jobs they just took away is not going to raise the money required to give illegals al those 'freebies'.
