Police responded to a call about an armed man threatening people. He was armed (even if weapon was in pocket) and refused to cooperate. They took him down and he struggled. The video doesn't show where his hands were during the struggle. He could and most likely was, reaching for his weapon.
Regardless of your skin color, if you refuse to cooperate with police, the situation will only deteriorate on behalf of the person being stopped/detained.

How can you tell? The videos are not very clear as to what happened. I see a struggle, and one officer is pushed back however it is all so unclear.

If a police officer is going to make an error, it HAS to be on the side of preserving life. And yes their jobs are risky, they know that going in. Choke a man to death on the sidewalk in New York for selling cigarettes. Severe a man's spine and throw him in a truck. Shoot a 16 year old teen who isn't running AT the police 15 times while he is on the ground already. Now this.

Why did they shoot this guy? And not once but over and over. Something is seriously wrong with how police in the US do their job. They seem to have gained a 'we're god, we'll do what we want whenever we want' attitude.

80% of police recently polled are in fear every time they report to a call in a Black area of the city they work in because of the high degree of violence/gun violence associated in those neighborhoods. They have a dangerous and thankless job. If people were raised right and not brought up in single parent welfare homes in housing projects where crime is encouraged then these shootings would not occur.
