Please read my link above. Even if a US citizen is identified a warrant is only required if he is the target if the investigation in circumstances such as this. If he contacts a foreign person already of interest to the intelligence services and under surveillance then no warrant is needed.

Not true, as long as the US citizen is not the target of the wire tap then a individual warrant is not even required. It's a pretty safe bet that the Russian ambassador IS the target of a FISA warrant, so if Flynn contacted him the NSA would not even need an additional warrant to intercept the call or retain the data.

Yes it does require a warrant. Once a US citizen is identified the recording must undergo "minimization procedures".
We also don't even know of the Russian ambassador is the target of a FISA authorized wiretap, that information hasn't been given, it's just speculation at this point.
Please read my link above. Even if a US citizen is identified a warrant is only required if he is the target if the investigation in circumstances such as this. If he contacts a foreign person already of interest to the intelligence services and under surveillance then no warrant is needed.

Do you really think the Russian ambassador, who is responsible for the intelligence section of the Russian embassy, is not the subject of a FISA warrant? If he's not an awful lot of nerds at the NSA should be fired.
Your article doesn't refute what I am saying, in fact it says:

It just says that the NSA is basically breaking the laws and rules of FISA, and that there is no oversight. Which is exactly what I said happened.
