This is true, but no car battery I ever owned made my vehicle un-sellable. If you wanted a new EV, yours is worth much less than an ICE vehicle because the possibility of replacing the battery has to be a concern for the new owner. If the vehicle is old enough, replacing the battery might cost the new owner more money than he paid you for the car.
