So why did Ray Rice's victim MARRY her attacker a month later?

[
Maybe they should think of that before they knock a loved on senseless.

The video shows she clearly attacked him. What do you have against self defense?
Wrong. He spit in her face and slammed her against the wall before she went after him in self defense. Then he knocked her out. I realize you only see what you want to see.

Even if she started it, how about appropriate force?

Does anyone here believe Rice couldn't have restrained her long enough to get out of the elevator?

Does anyone here believe Rice feared for his safety?

The media is making a fool of itself again. Men and women fight all the time and everybody knows it. Rice is yet another victim in a media political correctness crusade.

Interesting to note that assault charges were originally filed against the woman janay palmer ( now Janay Rice) also. The video clearly shows she charged him!! But charges against her were dropped apparently because she's "just a woman". !! HAHAHA. This whole issue is a joke. Here's a timeline for the story.

A complete timeline of the Ray Rice assault case - SBNation.com

Haven't you been told time and time again that a woman owns her own body? A woman's body is hers and hers alone and what she does with her body is nobody's business but her own. If she wants her body to take a blow to the face with enough force to render her unconscious and then marry the guy who did it, that's her business.

Maybe she loves him. But the masses will call her a whore and golddigger because we a smear society and thats what we do.

Well - it's obvious she is a gold-digger and whore. Everyone knows she stuck with the guy because he's rich.

You are a cretin.

EDUCATE yourself.

Why Janay Rice Stayed in an Abusive Relationship with Ray Rice

"Educate yourself?"

Maybe, but not with the link you've provided, which uses anecdotal evidence from a very wide range of examples of domestic abuse with varying degrees of intensity.

When you have examples of guys with $50 million dollar incomes abusing their GF's who say they stayed with them despite his income, let us know. Until then keep your oranges to yourself while comparing them to apples.

First of all, the article has more than just anecdotal evidence. And second of all, a husband/boyfriend that makes $50 million dollars is the VERY DEFINITION of 'anecdotal''

$50 million dollars does NOT explain 99.9% of the cases where a woman stays with an abusive husband/boyfriend.

EPIC fail...

You should probably learn to read the articles you reference.

Pitiful.

Its interesting that, had Rice/GF suppressed their inner children until they returned to their car, or room, or wherever there was no camera, he'd probably still be playing football, making $50 million on his 5 year contract. The REAL crime appears to not be a rash decision in the heat of a moment for which many humans are guilty, but having it recorded and publicized.

And it's HER fault since the video clearly shows she came after him. He defended himself and i don't know why he doesn't say that.

Maybe because saying that would make him sound like a huge pussy?

Staying with an unemployed bum is discounting the economic factor. The bum has no money. The logic follows that if a women will stay with the bum without money being a factor why cant the same happen just because the husband has money? Its proven that women stay in abusive relationships for reasons other than money. The presence of money does not trump those reasons.

All that "is proven" is that when there is NOT an economic incentive, women stay.

No "Logic Follows:" It is absurd to assume that the income of the abuser might not have anything to do with the abused decision to remain in the relationship.

Why is it absurd when women have literally been doing it for eons? You have your logic backwards and even admit women stay with no financial incentive. It would be absurd to assume that was the primary or only reason..

Logic wouldn't be your strongest skill.

I don't care about her. The injustice to rice is what is so unfair here. He lost his job cuz he defended himself from some crazy slut.

Well of course that's true. But he might still have his job. His pride is costing him a bundle.

:eusa_eh:

You seriously believe that if he explained that she scared him that "he might still have a job?"

:disbelief:

Really?!?

I believe it's called "Battered Wife Syndrome." In this case even though she was not technically married to him at the time, she still clings to him. He will eventually punch her again.

I'm sure the answer has been posted, but the biatch would rather be punched and treated like a ho than go back to the ghetto and lose all that money. Pretty pathetic.

It's always about money. Even if the guy is making $50,000 a year that's more than the bimbo can make assuming she wants to work. Most women want to sit home and eat candy bars all day. If the man will pay the bills, they put up with the occasional black eye. Women are all prostitutes.

Actually, he's probably right. If you researched a white woman in the same circumstance you'd probably find a similar occurrence. Seems very common unless the woman can find a way to profit from it which maybe she should. Some aren't so strong.

Good idea, why don't you try it sometime. The article starts out with anecdotal...THEN:

Gooden’s story is a common one. One in four women experience domestic abuse in their lifetime, and it is one of the most chronically underreported crimes: only about one quarter of all physical assaults, one fifth of all rapes and one half of all stalkings are reported to the police.

Experts say that the limitations of leaving can be both psychological and physical. Many rationalize their situation. “People wind up blaming themselves for the abusive behavior of their partners,” says Craig Malkin, a clinical psychologist at Harvard Medical School. “They convince themselves if they approach the person differently, maybe they won’t be abused.”

Any male that hits a woman is a coward, not a man.

I'll repeat it since you seem to be blind:

When you have examples of guys with $50 million dollar incomes abusing their GF's who say they stayed with them despite his income, let us know. Until then keep your oranges to yourself while comparing them to apples

Maybe she loves him. But the masses will call her a whore and golddigger because we a smear society and thats what we do.
If she did it for love, she's a fool. If she did it for money... well then maybe it was a calculated risk.

We've probably all been fools for love at some point in our lives. It is not hard at all to believe she thought she could change him, thought it was her fault, or thought it was a fluke.

If she did it for the money, her calculated risk seems to have paid about as much as it is going to pay. Out of work wife beating football players are probably not in high demand. Time to bail if money was her goal.

Yes it has been mentioned before but we can't say it enough. Battered women who stick with their man do it strictly for the money. He's their meal ticket and if they dump him "I might have to get a job!!"

The board notes you evaded the issue and made a personal attack. Thanks for admitting i'm right.

Any woman who sticks with an abusive man does it for the money. She's a gold-digging whore who doesn't want to get a job.
