So the kid isn't allowed to give his speech unless he removes patriotic speech from it.
And then later he is told he won't be allowed to come back to the school.
I understand it's a private school, they can make any rules they want but even for a Catholic school how can being patriotic be seen as a negative? America and Christian/Catholics go hand in hand.
They should be encouraging patriotic students. Patriotic kids will grow up to better citizens. If you love your country you will want it to succeed, you will call out things wrong with it, you'll respect it and want to take care of it.
This underlying sense of anti America attitudes that has been showing up the past in the past few years is disturbing.
