“We are fighting so that no other American family has to feel the pain and the grief that we do,” said Mary Anne Mendoza, whose son was killed by an illegal alien in 2014.

"while it is right for Americans to be concerned about the equality of the immigrants we attract, there is simply no evidence to support that Mexican immigration should be a cause for concern. If anything, there is quite a bit of evidence that the immigrants we attract from Mexico serve to make us safer than we otherwise would be."

More fun facts:

Even the George W. Bush Institute thinks that the benefits of immigration outweigh the costs. Even Bloomberg shows that they pay more into the social safety net than they take out.

And yet for all you guys hand-wave about "well then do it legally!", the Trump administration has reclassified and restricted the legal avenues to do so, including reclassifying domestic and gang threats as not being serious enough to them to warrant asylum. They're even trying to cripple the traditional legal avenues to citizenship:

With last week's vote in the House of Representatives on hardline immigration legislation from GOP Rep. Bob Goodlatte of Virginia, about three-fourths of Republicans in both the House and Senate have voted this year to cut legal immigration by about 40%. That would represent, by far, the largest reduction in legal immigration since Congress voted in 1924 to virtually shut off immigration for the next four decades.

"It tells me that the party is more interested in reducing the number of foreigners in the United States than in reducing illegal immigration," says David Bier, an immigration policy analyst at the libertarian Cato Institute. "One reason to allow people to immigrate legally is to reduce the incentives to come illegally, and so this entire portion of that immigration bill is working at cross-purposes to the goal of securing the border and reducing illegal immigration."

So just to recap, we have people willing to contribute, who have been proven to be a net positive, being increasingly treated in inhumane ways and ignoring constitutional rights - rights that court rulings including those of the Supreme Court have specifically said still apply to non citizens. Meanwhile, the current GOP strategy continues to close even legal avenues to immigration while calling immigrants fleeing violence rapists and drug dealers.

We need to stop pretending this is anything other than a racist and xenophobic backlash against people that aren't white enough for the GOP.

It is not a coincidence that the black employment rate is the highest ever, that our unemployment rate is low, and that wages are rising.

We don't need to import people that are uneducated and unskilled. We have plenty of our own that need these jobs, and they need them at a livable wage.

Black employment is not covered there. The subject is immigration.

Seems I remember EVERY FUCKING POLL saying the murdering Hildebeast was going to be president.....how did THOSE POLLS work out?

It appears Congressperson Cortez elect has the well being of society in mind. This is compared to this fake so-called president tRump and his treasonous GOPer cronies having the death of society in their uncivilized and uncultured minds. Yet I believe the truth and decency always supersedes the rot of immoral and degenerate policies of tRump and his menacing mob of nothing but savages. Absolutely $5 billion should be spent on healthcare and education, and to hell with tRump's maniac wall other than putting this felonious tyrant behind walls already built.

Occasional-Cortex could be for tossing vestal virgins into volcanoes and you moonbats would be falling over yourselves to do it.
A virgin is a terrible thing to waste!
Cortex will fuck up the election for the DEMs.
But first she must be "inaugurated".

yes, thats pitting blacks against immigrants.

But as shown:
A 2016 study conducted by scholars at Penn’s Wharton School of Business found that the increase in the labor supply resulting from immigration could actually generate more employment in industries such as home construction and food production. More people means more consumption, and, specifically, more consumption by the working poor.

Polls...again...by a partisan media to explain to the great unwashed non-New York masses that they really didn’t vote for the guy who promised a wall because he promised a wall.
Our problem is propaganda. Not politics.

I don’t disagree with that. In the end you will find that there is a reason the huge corporations support immigration. Profit.

Going further consider this...a broken home means two households to support. It means teachers as daycare. It means food stamps for Walmart. It means more government handouts and programs.

Look behind the curtain at liberalism and notice that profit and power are always motives.

Liberal indoctrination in education is having the desired effect. Sadly.

Don't blame 'education' for every stupid democrat.

Since studies show that our schools are cesspools of liberalism, it would be beyond credible thought that the teachers are not passing that ideology off as "education" to their students.

Mark

I know very very few teachers with the time or inclination for that kind of shit. Any indoctrination comes much more insidiously through societal messages the left has been poisoning the entire civilization with since the end of World War II.

I disagree. Sending children home for biting a cookie into the shape of a gun, or forcing kids to learn about "different" lifestyles like homosexuality or transsexualism is all part of the plan.

The first line of defense outside the home is the teacher, and they are failing our children.

That's because most of those "polled" have no grasp of economics. They just know they "want," not knowing that their "wants" would bankrupt the nation and leave us looking like Venezuela. I don't know about you, but I live in a small, rundown, old, manufactured home on a small piece of land and with what little I have, I don't believe that some lazy idiot living in his or her mother's basement or spare room, should be given a portion of what money I earned through actual labor, so he or she can live off some government teat via some "universal government income," that would ultimately render everyone poor, except those at the high end of the proletariat politburo.
