A ‘Thrilling’ Mission to Get the Swedish to Change Overnight - BBC Worklife - Pocket
“Thrilling” is the word repeatedly used by Jan Ramqvist to describe how he felt about participating in a nationwide mission to get all Swedish motorists and cyclists to change the habits of a lifetime and begin driving on the right-hand side of the road for the first time."

If Sweden moves to the right can the remaining left drivers be far behind?
List of left- & right-driving countries - World Standards
A map demonstrates how mostly the backwards UK is stubbornly clinging to the old ways and holding up true progress.
It would be a boon to auto manufacturers, drivers of the world (none of whom would have to go through the headaches of learning how to drive on the other side of the road when in another country) and auto safety, placing drivers at the center of the road for better forward visibility and split second decision making.and accident avoidance
Thanks Sweden. Most of the world owes you one.

It worked in Jamaica.

But not the first time.

That time they tried a gradual approach.

On Monday all cars and motorcycles changed over to driving on the right.

Buses and trucks had one more day before they had to change.

On Wednesday the survivors resumed driving on the left.

Now all we need is for Europe to give up that silly metric base 10 system and return to the US Customary British Imperial system where things are done the right way such as measuring an inch based on the length of wheat grains and a yard based on the length of the King's arm.

In the days of Doherty Linear AM transmitters things moved so slowly that we measured C in terms of furlongs per fortnight.

Like God (Hertz) intended.
