For me personally, it's more about violent threats being directed at the U.S. It isn't really about religion. We should limit Immigration from some Muslim nations that have become violent Terrorist-havens.

It's just common sense security. I would support a temporary halt on all Immigration from Terrorist-havens like Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, Yemen, and Libya. But other nations should be considered as well.

Switzerland is not the USA!
The USA was founded and developed by immigrants. The Swiss federation was initially brought together in the 1200's by native population.
We have almost 350 million people, Switzerland has 8 million.
Switzerland is much more densely populated as a result has to have different standards for immigration.

I have lived in Switzerland and love the country but I much prefer the USA.

If you like Switzerland, move there, if you can get in. They make it hard to immigrate no matter what your religion.

The Immigration and Nationality Act passed June 27, 1952 revised the laws relating to immigration, naturalisation and nationality for the United States. This became Public Law 414.

Chapter 2, Section 212, is the prohibition of entry into the United States if the alien belongs to an organisation seeking to overthrow the government of the United States by force, violence or by other unconstitutional means.

This by definition, rules out Islamic immigration to the United States.

Islamic immigration to the United States would be prohibited under this law because the Koran, Sharia Law and the Hadith all require complete submission to Islam which is directly opposed to the United States government, the American Constitution and to the American Republic.
