You're damned skippy, and you can bet your ass that Chinese mining companies are gonna be thick as fleas on a dog's ass as soon the dust settles. Not a word will be reported about it in the western press.
The Chinese got THEIR man in the Oval Office, and now they are gonna be the ones, and the ONLY ones with access to those minerals.

Edit--what do you think that 'Espionage' complaint entailed? Maybe something about troop numbers? Troop positions? I am pretty sure the Chinese and the Talib were tip to tip to this. The only thing remaining was for US troops to walk. Once that happened, the word was sent out.

And the Taliban will bite their hand like they have bitten so many before.

No. The Chinese are there for business. Asians don't operate like white folks. White people wanna conquer everything. They wanna change YOUR culture, your language, your family, your values. Asians just want money.
The Chinese do not give a shit what the Afghans do with their people because it's not their business. That's why people in the third world love doing business with them.

Then let China have them.

Another win for China. Not as exciting as Hong Kong, but a win is a win for the Commies who are loaded with Western wealth, jobs and industries.

Basically China is doing to the West what the West did to Russia with such success. In fact, they might even be reading from the historical playbook to succeed.

Focus on economic might, soft power and proxies. Now the M.E will have powerful alliances between Pakistan, Iran, Afghanistan, China, Russia. The U.S will have Israel, India and some half hearted in-betweeners who will often play both sides.

After 20 years all of this should have been figured out. It's going to be really difficult for military experts and former politicians to do anything but stick the tail between their legs and remain silent. How are they going to deal with the obvious question they will always be asked whenever they speak up, "you have some strong opinions, answer me this, what were you doing for 20 years"?

Just as Bush tried to blame others for the southern border. Did he forget that he was president for 8 years?

Lol, the Taliban will fuck them up.

Let the Chinese waste money and resources there for a while. We've done enough.

I would bet at least $100 that within five years China will be mining extensively in Afghanistan. I can almost guarantee you of that. Chinese intelligence was integral to the Taliban strolling into Kabul nearly untouched.
Chinese are about business. They are not about 'saving' shit.

China will rule with an iron fist, bribe power and take out of the country what they want for themselves. They aren't interested in "training an Afghan security force" (really brave weren't they?), or keeping soldiers there. They will simply exploit for their own nations needs. Just imagine if the U.S dollar is replaced by digital currency as China wants? This expansion of influence will be far easier for China.

What was the Wests objective in all of this? How many more decades will the military experts say they needed?

Hey, I suppose the progressive women are free to head to Afghanistan and preach to them about toxic masculinity. If they can manage to get around only on foot and a slit for their eyes to see...

Joe is sitting in the pilot's seat.

Americans got a good kick in aughanistan
I like it'll be this way forever. soon you will get out of all bases on the island of America

The U.S. goes around 3rd world countries kicking farmer's doors down and bombing the hell out of them.
While the Chinese go there and build roads, hospitals and schools.
Then we can't seem to figure out why the Chinese keep being awarded long term mining and natural resources contracts.
While we are told to leave their country as quickly as possible. ...

Yeah, they build them with Chinese citizens labour. Why is that?

Worse in all of this, yet again, U.S influence wanes. India will be concerned, as will Japan and others. "Did we choose the right side, or should we just make a deal with China"?

It's why the U.S HAS to go hard against China, especially in regards to the Olympics and their influence. If you don't rally other nations and make China pay a price, the world will see U.S as basically ineffective. Without negative consequences for helping China, the U.S will continue to lose global power, while Russia and China gain. The problem is, the level of corporate assistance and Wall Street. They have made China a Super Power.
