Target has terrible holiday and warns of awful 2017

So you are saying even though they can order online ( and get free shipping with a 50.00 order at the holidays) people still don't buy their crap....because???
That's you duty to prove it since it is the OP's affirmation. No one has done so except to offer suggestion. That's all you have at this point: your suggestion. Have any evidence?
Thats all you have...a suggestion.
The suggestion is yours, and to wit: without proof. Until you can offer evidence, your opposition can only smile at you until you provide it.
What suggestion is mine? I have more than one.

I asked you to explain your suggestion. You still haven't.

He could start by looking at Target's stock share price history...it bottomed out about the same time they made their now ill fated descion
Doesn't help that they also house another socialist company on site either...Starbucks. And their crap is outrageously expensive.

bluegin, your understanding seems limited. The OP is merely suggestion until evidence linking cause effect is produced. It has not been. Period. Don't talk about socialism, when you clearly don't have an idea about: evidence ~ you think Starbucks corporate model is socialistic. My goodness.

I saw the same thing. Target crowds lessened considerably right after they started caving in to the rest room perverts.

Not particularly, no. But if you think so, you can show that it was the bathroom policy that did it, right? Did not think so.

Well I shop at Target a lot.

I just went there tonight to buy a porcelain coated frying pan and a reclose-able large jar to pickle hard boiled eggs in.

It was pretty deserted though.

Target made a huge error on the transgender restroom issue.

I hope it was worth it to them. I used to shop there but haven't since they decided to put perversion ahead of children

They've always been run by left-wing loonies and they think everyone is like that. A huge blunder. They might have survived if hillary had won but trump's victory has sent america even further to the right.

Yeah it did, moron. You really need to stop with your nonsense. Nobody is buying it, clown

You can't even show "Nobody is buying it", except of some sillies here on board.

The bathroom policy had no effect. You can't give any proof.

The idiots running it are major progressives. Every dingbat socialist opinion that comes down the pike they embrace. Kinda like you.

Then why did Target spend millions on installing new bathrooms?

You don't have the first clue about this, it's obvious. You're once again blabbering to be blabbering

Ravi sock be trolling...

They've pissed off a lot of conservatives, and I have to think this is part of their problems.

Tar-jay is no longer in style.

Target missed the bullseye badly during the holidays, reporting earnings that were below forecasts. And the company's outlook for this year was much worse than expected, sending the stock down 13% in early trading. Shares are down 20% this year.

The terrible numbers from Target (TGT) are just another sign of how tough it is for traditional retailers to compete against the online juggernaut that is Amazon (AMZN, Tech30).

Who would shop at a store run by people who don't even know which bathroom to use?

IDK about that but I know the shareholders went after Target's CEO and shortly afterwards they decided to back pedal on the poor descion

This is all easily confirmed, he's just blabbering about shit he is clueless about

Many mom and pop small businesses closed when big box stores like Target opened up and drove them out of business. So now it's their turn to face the music.

This all reminds me of K-Mart.

They used to be everywhere.

Now they have shrunken their presence to a very few stores in each state. The closest one to me is about 30 miles away.

If Target goes down that K-Mart road soon too, then they will eventually fade away as well.

Kings has shut down completely due to online sales.
And JC Penney is in big trouble.

The only stuff I've seen bought online is usually crap.
Internet sales people get away with murder basically.
You really can't see what you're buying online so retailers push the lower end stuff.
I never buy online.
Strange. I have never bought anything online that was not exactly as I expected it to be.

A vast majority of shoppers have no idea the transgender bathroom controversy ever happened.

BlueGin Even online it's nearly impossible for Target to compete. Amazon offers a much larger selection of products, and almost everybody already has an account with them.

Why not? Walmart can.

Their problem is not that they can't compete...it's that they are too expensive, don't offer good shipping deals and they pissed off half of their customer base.

The only problem with online purchasing is that it takes several days for the item to get there.

Walk-in is faster.

But with the way things are going for K-Mart and Target, the days of walk-in's may soon be over and online may be all that is left.
