Target is banning books. Time for the Bud Light treatment.

There’s probably an APP for that.

Exactly. So I think we agree a business has the right to refuse to make or sell any product or service they so desire.
They put on the shelf what they know will sell. Who buys books at Target anyways. That's what Amazon is for

That wasn't my question. My question was:

A business can refuse to make or sell any product they want, right?
My answer wasn't your question, no.

I'm glad you understand this.

My answer - again - is this:

Not if they're being selective in terms of whom they serve, no.

You can't refuse to serve someone because they're Black or Christian or gay or all three of those things for instance.

Did you really not know this?

It's been the law for decades now.

Got it? :)

Yes, I got that you're dodging my question because the answer makes you uncomfortable.

There are not many folks that buy LGBTQ merchandise.
Yeah, even among liberal populations it’s a niche market. Obviously Target believes it will make them money.

It’s just one of the niches they cater to. Targeting multiple niches is a universal retail strategy.

Pretty much every clothing line a store sells that isn’t generic clothes is targeting a different niche market. You could say “but not many folks buy that” about any one of them.

LOL!

"Science"

I mean, I don't agree with the basis for that, but it still made me laugh.

Xpo for the co-thread win. :)

As I said, we agree a business has the right to refuse to make or sell any product or service they so desire. You can say it.
Yes, that's what retailers have been doing ever since we invented retailers. Fuck Levin and his book, let the Freedom Caucus buy all his crap

If you want to fuck Levin, that's your business, but I'm glad we agree businesses have the right not to make or sell a product if they don't want to.

Did you know that the incompetent are generally too incompetent to recognize or correct their incompetence?

Sad but true; I learned it from a book I bought at Target. (I'll be buying more there in the days ahead.) :)

But yeah, you've had several people explain the issues to you, but you're on a bender, and think you're right, and want to own those who have taken the time to explain how far off the mark you are.

Sad, but true.

:dunno:

With book content like that, I'm guessing Kamala buys there also.
