Tax the rich, lose the rich

Tax cuts don't increase revenues. Tax cuts don't pay for themselves. Period.

But when a myth feels so good to believe, it's almost impossible to reason with the believers.

So, the lesson to be learned from this thread is:

The government taking more money away from people makes them more prosperous.

Hey, if the government takes everything, we'll all be rich!!

You have a nasty habit of accusing people of saying things they never said.

you're a bad man. a very bad man.

What is so difficult to understand?

If business owners have more money as a result of paying not as much taxes, they can spend that money on expansion or even survival if need be.

The only problem I see with your (lack of) logic is that they already have this money and are not doing anything with it now so how will extending the taxcuts promote said expansion when it hasn't done so thus far??

I keep seeing all of these rightwingers making claims about what the job creators will do with the taxcuts but the rightwingers love to ignore the fact that nothing will really change even IF the taxcuts are extended so how can you honestly claim that the taxcuts will do anything when they haven't done anything thus far??

You just getting this. daveman is a stone cold liar who is getting kicked out of the Air Force.

It's impossible to explain why tax cuts spur economic growth to someone who is completely and thoroughly an economic illiterate. It's like trying to explain what the Mona Lisa looks like to someone who has been stone blind since birth.

Nice trolling, but the FACT remains that the taxcuts were passed and have been active this whole time and ahve done NOTHING so how would extending them do what you claim when they haven't done it thus far??

You're saying that there were no positive economic indicators between 2003 and 2008?

We are talking jobs here and bush's taxcuts have been effect the whole time and jobs have been lost so can you explain how extending the taxcuts which haven't created jobs even though they are active now will magically do so if extended??

Not doing anything with it?....Got proof?

I guarantee that the majority of businesses are using those cuts to help keep them afloat. To help keep people employed. To help make payroll. To try and avoid lay-offs. To pay business expenses. And on and on and on.

Take those cuts away, and there is no doubt that there will be many more people losing their jobs.

The main reason why businesses aren't expanding, is the lack of confidence in our leadership.

Job growth is not coming from the private sector, even with all the tax breaks it has right now. Common sense tells us that the private sector of Big Business will just keep the break for the share holders, not invest in jobs. There is no reason to believe that will happen.

Oh, okay, then. You want the government to take more money away from people, and you don't give a shit if they prosper or not. Is that right?

I have heard all of the lame excuses as to why it hasn't spurred job growth and those excuses will still exist even if the taxcuts are extended so please explain how repeating the same actions while expecting a different outcome makes any sense to you.

And after a brief reading I can see that the hacks ignore the message and have proceded to attack the messenger. How typical.
You are seriously outgunned up here, lil' one. It's been explained to you several times up here in many posts. You just refuse to acknowledge it, because you know that the true underlying reason that there are no jobs being created is directly related to Obama's abject failures as a leader on so many levels.

Now, the benefits of keeping the cuts in place has been thoroughly explained to you. Lets see if you can go back through the posts and get a fucking clue!

LMAO!

aww more trolling from you. imagine that.

BTW in case you missed it, claiming that extending the taxcuts will accomplish that which they have failed to do while active is not really a valid argument nor is it explaining the benefits. However, thanks for the trolling.

More Rich Americans Renounce U.S. Citizenship over Taxes - DailyFinance

Keep in mind that wealthy people represent the dynamic force in our economy, starting businesses, expanding existing businesses or investing in new or starting companies. That they want to take their marbles and leave is a bad sign for us.
All you "don't let the screen door hit you where the good Lord split you" liberal class warriors can just STFU now.

The rich are going to leave the U.S. to escape a 39% top tax rate?

lol

I don't know if you're old enough to remember the '50s, but they were bailing out of here in droves until St Reagan saved us in the '80s.

Right now, the wealthy are enjoying the benefits of many years of Bush tax cuts.

So, WHERE THE FUCK ARE THE JOBS!?!?!?

How stupid do they think we are?

Nine years of tax cuts have not stimulated the economy. Why should we believe that continued tax cuts will suddenly cause job creation.

So here's a lesson for the wealthy: ya either use your money to invest in job creation or you lose it.

Right now companies world wide are enjoying very high profits. Are they creating jobs? NO!

Until there is a severe change in the distribution of wealth in this country we are going to have a continued recession and increasing taxes on the wealthy is the best place to start that change in wealth distribution.

Well great! Let them go!

The 1950s were one of the periods of greatest economic growth and highest taxation in American hiistory.

Good fuckin' riddance!

You want wealth?....Go out and work for it!....Get an education!....Nodody owes you a god damn thing!

Can you get any more lame?

Suggesting that the wealthy invest in job creation is a far cry from Leninism, as is suggesting that the people who do the work and create the wealth get their fair share.

You apparently do not know doodly squat about Lenin's philosophies.

Showing up at a job "working" is not creating wealth. Forcing a distribution of wealth is most certainly a Leninist view. Why are you offended by your own rhetoric?

I, for one, feel sorry for the wealthy. They do so much for this country and ask for so little in return. I would like to continue giving them their tax cut, but we just can't afford it this year.
You see, the Tea Party reminded me that we are running this massive deficit and we really need to cut back on things that add to the defecit. Since this tax cut has added $2 Trillion we need to cut it out temporarily until we are on better financial footing.

I promise that once the wealthy stop sending our jobs overseas, and once that $13 trillion in debt is paid off.....they can have their tax cut back

Seems fair

When high taxes and union-labor goes away, they'll stop sending the jobs overseas.

And if the government is responsible for running up this massive debt, and the gov't is so irresponsible with money, why on Earth would we want to funnel more money to that same entity that acted so irresponsibly?

Thats like saying our teenage daughter ran up $10,000 debt on her credit card, THUS we need to give her a brand new credit card to help payoff that debt. Dumb? Yes. Consistent with left wing logic? Yes.
