Tax the rich, lose the rich

The wealthy and powerful have always been able to bamboozle the simple minded into doing their bidding for them.

What are your thoughts on Warren Buffett and taxation?

You mean the same Warren Buffet who thinks it's wrong that he's in a lower tax bracket than his receptionist?

Guys, don't forget you are debating with lefties who have stated they want to "Raise taxes on the rich to force them into creating more jobs".

They truly believe this. They truly think if they punish the rich, it'll teach them some kind of lesson and force them into creating more jobs.

Yes, that one. What are your thoughts on his view of taxation given your "wealthy and powerful have always been able to bamboozle" comment?

Right now, the wealthy are enjoying the benefits of many years of Bush tax cuts.

So, WHERE THE FUCK ARE THE JOBS!?!?!?

How stupid do they think we are?

Nine years of tax cuts have not stimulated the economy. Why should we believe that continued tax cuts will suddenly cause job creation.

So here's a lesson for the wealthy: ya either use your money to invest in job creation or you lose it.

Right now companies world wide are enjoying very high profits. Are they creating jobs? NO!

Until there is a severe change in the distribution of wealth in this country we are going to have a continued recession and increasing taxes on the wealthy is the best place to start that change in wealth distribution.
leninsmile4pv.jpg

Can you get any more lame?

Suggesting that the wealthy invest in job creation is a far cry from Leninism, as is suggesting that the people who do the work and create the wealth get their fair share.

You apparently do not know doodly squat about Lenin's philosophies.

"How do you tell a communist? Well, it's someone who reads Marx and Lenin. And how do you tell an anti-Communist? It's someone who understands Marx and Lenin."

-- Ronald Reagan

The rich are going to leave the U.S. to escape a 39% top tax rate?

lol

I don't know if you're old enough to remember the '50s, but they were bailing out of here in droves until St Reagan saved us in the '80s.

Well great! Let them go!

The 1950s were one of the periods of greatest economic growth and highest taxation in American hiistory.

Good fuckin' riddance!

Um.....you know if the rich leave, so does their money, and so does a massive % of federal tax dollars.

So if you say "Good fuckin' riddance" to them, also say good riddance to:

- A well funded military
- Maintenance on all US interstates and highways
- Maintenance and preservation on all US national parks you libs love so much
- Funding for the FBI, CIA, DEA, Secret Service, Dept of Energy
- Funding for your local police, fire, ems and schools
- Funding for public libraries

Well, I could go on and on, but it's fairly sad and pathetic how angry you lefties get in your envious rage at the rich. Their wealth supports much of our comfortable lives. You should thank them.

Well, when you pass a massive, society changing healthcare bill that nobody fudging understands, it's gonna cause a few years for companies to analyze just what they'll be required to do, responsible for, etc, etc, etc, and with a loose cannon big government crew running the country, they're simply bracing until all the dust settles to see exactly what their risk/reward will truly be to expand or hire. It's smart business.

If you get your "severe change in distribution of wealth", then just who will be left to pay the massive % of taxes that rich now pay?

And you contradict yourself A LOT with one great, left wing nonsense statement. Here it is:

"Right now companies world wide are enjoying very high profits. Are they creating jobs? NO!"

Well, lets use some logic.

If they are making big profits, then guess what, that means there are a lot of customers with capital to spend. So somewhere out there is jobs that are paying someone to be able to produce customers that can in turn filter profits to a company. I suggest you get off your fat ass, and go find one of those jobs that are creating customers with money to spend to enable the companies to make such evil, wicked, vile profits!!!!!

Everyone I know has a job and is getting by OK. But of course, I only hang around hard working people who get off their asses and to any job necessary to get by rather than wait for a government to save them. Maybe you should follow.

I want to hit on one of my better points one more time.

Liberals: If there are companies making these huge, evil, vile, wicked profits, then that means there are customers with money to spend.

If there are customers with money to spend, which creates these huge profits, then somewhere out there are jobs. Hell, the local classified ads every Sunday has plenty of listings.

The problem is, the typical liberal is so convinced of his own self worth, his how intellectual superiority and his own value to the world that he believes most jobs are below him. After all, he sat through 4 years of left wing lectures learning "How the world really works" and knows with his degree he should get at least 80K a year and a private corner office.

Liberals- if your life is sucking right now, it's YOUR own fault. Not mine. Not the governments. Not rich peoples. YOUR fault. No one elses. Grow the f**k up.

The doing away with the tax cuts will no doubt cost more jobs at this time. Businesses needs those cuts now more than ever. At this point it's not about creating jobs, it's keeping people in their jobs. Until there is confidence again in our leadership and, they show they have a clue as to how to turn it around, businesses have no choice but to hold on tight and try to weather the storm.

Funny, how not one of these loons is willing to step up and place any blame on the leftwing leadership for their abject failings. They just won't admit that this president is abjectly failing. His administration is abjectly failing. The Senate and Congress are abjectly failing, on BOTH sides of the aisle. Until those change, there will be no reason for business to expand. Right now, all they can do is hold on.

You apparently do not know doodly squat about Lenin's philosophies.

Showing up at a job "working" is not creating wealth. Forcing a distribution of wealth is most certainly a Leninist view. Why are you offended by your own rhetoric?

First, you really don't have a clue about Leninism.

Second, yes, the productive work done by people at their jobs is exactly what creates wealth. Not that all people that have jobs create wealth. In fact, there is an inverse relationship between the amount of wealth created by any person and the amount that they are paid.

Factory workers create wealth, miners create wealth, construction workers create wealth. Lawyers do not create wealth, accountants do not create wealth, executives do not create wealth.

If you do not understand that, then you do not understand the most basic fundamentals of economics.

Fair distribution of the wealth is not socialistic, nor is it communist. It's simply fair.

Well, I wouldn't want to speak with FDR. Although he's a liberal hero, and ranked #1 president ever by liberal loons...........I'd prefer not speak with a man who built prison camps on US soil and rounded up millions of US citizens and detained them without charges based on SOLELY their race as being Japanese, German or Italian. Maybe you guys are OK with that, not me.

As for the critique, do you not agree the large majority % of federal, state and local taxes are from the rich? If you are not in the top 50% of wealth earners, then you pay $0 for the maintenance of US highways, national parks, etc. And your net $$ paid is lower than what the rich pay. Probably % of income also.

So, the lesson to be learned from this thread is:

The government taking more money away from people makes them more prosperous.

Hey, if the government takes everything, we'll all be rich!!

You have a nasty habit of accusing people of saying things they never said.

you're a bad man. a very bad man.

You just getting this. daveman is a stone cold liar who is getting kicked out of the Air Force.

Not while in the air, I hope...sort of...

Really? The standard of living for the "poor" of America is better than 95% of the rest of the world. Our middle class lives better than the "rich" in India for the most part. The most oppressed minority of our nations history, blacks, would be the 5th richest nation on Earth if they were counted as a seperate nation.

Our American capitalism is doing pretty darn well. But hey, Obama is only 18 months in, I'm sure he'll change that.

Because they ask too much in pay. Can't believe a job is below oneself.

I also see countless ads looking for fast food managers. That means an educated, skilled person. Hard job, lots of stress and hours, decent pay. But of course, most see that as below them so they'll keep bitching about Republicans and CEOS.
