I aint scerred of the senate going red. Either way, it means the same old thing. Nothing meaningful has come out of congress since ACA. If the senate goes red, and it probably will, it will just mean that nothing meaningful will become law for the next 2 years. After that, Hillary will be elected. Now that I think about it, nothing meaningful is likely to become law for the rest of my lifetime. Actually, the Conservatives would have been against rebellion to the British, and supported the Tories. Having lost that, they would have identified with states rights issues, which means that they would have supported the Articles of Confederation, instead of the Constitution, which gave the central government power for the first time. Having lost that, they would have opposed Lincoln's authority to legally bind the states to the union, whether they liked it, or not.

The truth is that there is an element in the Republican Party that does not want any form of Government supported healthcare. That portion of the GOP will fight to block ANY healthcare proposal being floated by the GOP
