Tell me . . .

The average (I believe) that a person gets from welfare is about $300 per month! They then add on about 50-100 per child. What???? What makes you people think these people would CHOOSE to live like that?
Yes, Socialism makes society weak...

Any healthy economy kind of needs a combination of both, capitalism and socialism, in order to function properly. All of one and/or all of the other is not going to work!
Regulated capitalism with a social safety net works fine so far.

I would not call $20T debt ($17T GDP) "works fine". 1% growth, no plans for fix, increased spending built in. "Money don't grow on trees"....have u strolled thru a WalMart recently? Been to Asia lastc10 years? I rest case.

Right. I have never claimed that government spending isn't out of control. It is, but don't blame the poor people for that.
Socialism is spending stupidly…

The fact is that charitable donations are not enough. People are too greedy.
So force people to do what other people think is right?
Freedom is beginning to be nonexistent in this country. LOL

Unfortunately, because of inherent greediness, that is what has to be done.
What? You're willing to trade away freedom because if greed? Mein Kampf ring a bell?

Again, very LITTLE of your taxpayer dollars are going towards helping out the poor people. Much, much more of your taxpayer dollars are going to help your multi billion dollar industries.
Blame the source of the ploblem... The career politician
How about the lobbyists and the Americans that don't vote

If you are voting for either Hillary or Trump, tell me why.

1. What is about these candidates that attracts you?
2. Which of your chosen candidate's platforms/stances do you agree with?
3. Why are you against the "other guy"?

PLEASE answer the questions and stay on topic. Thanks. :)
1 The 90s were good and Obama got us back on course. I don't want to go back to 2000-2008.

2. Hillary

3. Trumps lying and I don't want Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan legislation getting passed and supreme Court nominees

What is your concern with the SCOTUS nominees?
Take one look at Ginsberg and you cannot help being horrified.
I do believe Chris would like hillary more if she looked different.

People voted for bush over gore because they felt they could drink a beer with bush.

Trump has to be about the worst at getting an idea across smoothly. He puts his foot in his mouth a lot,
but at least he's not an idealouge. I dont see him as the racist he's made out to be and I think he can be more
swayed by common sense than Hillary ever can.

He wouldn't be as quick to flood the country with unknown people from the ME. for one.

many reasons why i wouldnt vote for Hillry but, for example, the other day I was listening to an x SS agent from Bill Clintons admin, describing how she had the ability to be ranting and raving at Bill, using the foulest language behind closed doors then within a few seconds completely transform herself into an angelic being, holding his hand as they walked in front of the press.

I just dont want any more actors like this, making us out for fools. She's an idealouge , but she's also in this completely for herself. Trump has a huge ego but I believe her's eclipses Trump's by far. She just hides it very well

The career politician is the enabler of all of those…

Bullshit. For example - 140 BILLION/yr to the department of agriculture. What does this bureaucratic waste grow?
Screw your taxes. Absolutely zero accountability. Tax what I spend - not what I earn.

I don't have a problem with the fair tax proposals. Get rid of income tax and raise sales tax.
But that's not the liberal mantra.

I'm not a liberal. I'm a centrist.
Well, if you don't vote for Trump in November, that's a vote for Pantsuit. That makes you a leftist. Just the way it is.

Nope, I'm voting for Gary, and none of your nonsensical rhetoric is going to change that. I cannot with good conscience vote for either of the crappy candidates that have been presented to us. The whole election has been nothing but a circus full of clowns. It's the biggest clown competition is what it is!
Then you will put a leftist in office.
It has to start at the local level.
I voted today.
Straight Libertarian across the board.
Voting 3rd party is a wasted vote in a presidential election - at least right now.

Stop being stupid. My disapproval of Hillary has nothing to do with her appearance. Although she is pretty scary looking.

Well, like I said earlier, I do find that I agree with him on some issues. I also agree with Hillary on some issues. I just don't agree with either of them on a LOT of issues. I also don't agree with Gary Johnson on all the issues, but he is the least clownish.

Citizens united for one.

Forget God guns and racism. Those are unimportant wedge issue. No one is taking your gun. They may ban the sale of assault weapons but that's not banning guns.

What is important is the Scotus has gotten very conservative with alito Roberts. Did you know that whenever it's been between victims and corporations this court has sided with corporations 100% of the time.

Do you think corporations should have personhood? They don't die, they don't die from the pollution they create. Do you think corporations should have a bigger say in our politics? Then vote gop

Not to me! My rights are the MOST important thing, and that includes the 2A! That's why I won't vote for either of your stupid parties!
You don't have the right to own hand grenades a tank or a bazooka. Is that infringing on your rights?

I decided I didn't like it.

Some people don't have very many opportunities. That is why I also support student loans. That gives poor people an option to go to college (although tuition is still OUTRAGEOUS), and they have to pay it all back which doesn't really help them to get ahead in the game.

Agree, an income tax purposely punishes the successful. If there were some type of a flat luxury tax - that way drug dealers and hedge fund managers/traders pay something... Lol

Oh please. That is NOT the usual. Where do you think this particular person get that wad of cash? You don't get that much for welfare. It's not like it's some luxurious lifestyle. *eye roll*

Probably the same place they got the newer model vehicle they drive.

That's the point, these social programs are being abused to no end. I mean if these lowlifes had an ounce of integrity, they would purchase their food stamp items, go to the car, and return later to buy cash items. But they do this right in front of you, turn around and smile as if to say "look what Im getting away with."

Years ago a coworker of mine brought up this subject. His wife worked part-time at a convenience store. She made a comment to her black coworker how sick and tired she is of working all the time. Her coworker suggested she follow her footsteps.

She explained she went to welfare and made claim her husband, who worked at the GM plant, left her and the kids. Our government never checks any of these things out, so they gave her full benefits. In the meantime, her husband didn't go anywhere. He brought home over 60K a year and full medical benefits for him and his family. She worked part-time at the convenience store, and they got a government check and food stamps every month.

Don't kid yourself. These people figure out how to play the game, and it's costing us taxpayers.

Consider trump would be in charge of the Justice department. Don't think he and Chris Christie won't play politics with the Justice Dept.

Remember bush and Alberto Gonzales fired us attorneys who wouldn't play politics?

I don't mind the idea of a fair tax.

The FairTax is a proposal to reform the federal tax code of the United States. It would replace all federal income taxes (including the alternative minimum tax, corporate income taxes, and capital gains taxes), payroll taxes(including Social Security and Medicare taxes), gift taxes, and estate taxes with a single broad nationalconsumption tax on retail sales. The Fair Tax Act (H.R. 25/S. 155) would apply a tax, once, at the point of purchase on all new goods and services for personal consumption. The proposal also calls for a monthly payment to all family households of lawful U.S. residents as an advance rebate, or "prebate", of tax on purchases up to the poverty level.[1][2] First introduced into the United States Congress in 1999, a number of congressional committees have heard testimony on the bill; however, it has not moved from committee and has yet to have any effect on the tax system. In recent years, a tax reform movement has formed behind the FairTax proposal.[3] Attention increased after talk radio personality Neal Boortz and Georgia Congressman John Linder published The FairTax Book in 2005 and additional visibility was gained in the 2008 presidential campaign.
