Tell me . . .

Socialism is spending stupidly…

Well, I don't consider helping the poor to be stupid. I think it is smart.
I could have been poor.
I decided I didn't like it.

Some people don't have very many opportunities. That is why I also support student loans. That gives poor people an option to go to college (although tuition is still OUTRAGEOUS), and they have to pay it all back which doesn't really help them to get ahead in the game.
You make your own opportunities. You don't depend on others to give them out to you.
At one point, I was working 3 jobs with 4 kids.
It takes drive and a strong work ethic.
Not a handout.
My boys are both successful in their own right and my daughter's are both college grads with zero debt.
We will have to disagree on what it takes to be successful in the world today.

I'm sorry,b ut personal anecdotes don't really count. You may or may not be being truthful. Nowadays, you could not afford to send your children to college on even 3 part time minimum wage jobs and feed them, clothe them, afford daycare for them, buy your necessities (like toilet paper, shampoo, soap, etc.). Now, the government is FOR the people. It is not about making people into corporate slaves.
Wrong. The government is currently OVER the people - not for the people. I might suggest you turn off your television and have a look out your window - see what's going on in your own neighborhood before you trash somebody else's reality.

It's worked out pretty well for Massachusetts. :)

It works well for the corporations and corporate welfare no matter where it is, that's the point.

Healthcare is for the people, not the corporations. In our state, it is known as "romney care." This was Romney's baby.
Any mandated insurance is legalized extortion

Under other circumstances, I might agree. However, I take into consideration that those without insurance a lot of times cannot afford to pay their hospital/medical bills, which in turn raises the costs of medical care for all of us. THAT is something that needs to be addressed logically, not in a partisan manner because you think "taxes = loss of freedom."
Hundred percent of crazy high health care costs are due to frivolous lawsuits…

How about we turn one closed prison into a safe place where people who can't make it go. From there buses can take residents to jobs and they can stay until they can afford to buy a car and pay rent. 3 squares a day. Free clinic.

But no more food stamps to go buy cool aid or give $60 in foodstamps for $30 cash.

You'd have to be desparate to go to that place but all you need to do is swallow your pride and you can get free money.

And real strict rules if you want to stay at the prison. Strip search. But if you want to feed your kids and live in your car you can.

Those people are not the majority.

And you know that how?

Do you live near a big city? If not, try visiting sometime.

Go to the lower income areas and take note of all the younger and middle-aged people just walking around or hanging out by the beverage store drinking out of paper bags. See them dancing around a barrel of burning wood laughing and clapping hands to music during the colder months in front of the projects.

Try living next door to a HUD house as I have for years when they come home at 2:00am or so on work nights laughing so loud it could wake up the dead, playing their car stereo full blast as they enter the drive, going into the home with their other lowlife friends to continue whatever party they just left. And if you dare ask them to please keep quiet so you could sleep to wake up and create tax money for them to live on, they threaten to burn down your house or break in to kill you.

Yeah, just a minority of them.

If you are voting for either Hillary or Trump, tell me why.

1. What is about these candidates that attracts you?
2. Which of your chosen candidate's platforms/stances do you agree with?
3. Why are you against the "other guy"?

PLEASE answer the questions and stay on topic. Thanks. :)

Trump has to be about the worst at getting an idea across smoothly. He puts his foot in his mouth a lot,
but at least he's not an idealouge. I dont see him as the racist he's made out to be and I think he can be more
swayed by common sense than Hillary ever can.

He wouldn't be as quick to flood the country with unknown people from the ME. for one.

many reasons why i wouldnt vote for Hillry but, for example, the other day I was listening to an x SS agent from Bill Clintons admin, describing how she had the ability to be ranting and raving at Bill, using the foulest language behind closed doors then within a few seconds completely transform herself into an angelic being, holding his hand as they walked in front of the press.

I just dont want any more actors like this, making us out for fools. She's an idealouge , but she's also in this completely for herself. Trump has a huge ego but I believe her's eclipses Trump's by far. She just hides it very well
And trump will go to war over a tweet.

Consider trump would be in charge of the Justice department. Don't think he and Chris Christie won't play politics with the Justice Dept.

Remember bush and Alberto Gonzales fired us attorneys who wouldn't play politics?

He would go to war over a tweet? I find that to hard to believe, and no one wants a president like that.

In 1993 the Clintons fired 93 US attorneys upon entering office. They got away with it. I don't want that woman back in there again.

Playing politics with the Justice Dept? some people think this has already been going on over the last 8 years.

There really is no good candidate here. If I have to pull the lever for Hillary though, I think my arm will just lock up.
Third party does look tempting from a moral victory standpoint but that may just be giving it to Clinton

The more people who vote 3rd party, the LESS votes the other candidates will get. I think when all is said and done, Mr. Johnson is going to have quite a bit of voters. He may be a contender despite what the right/left will try to convince you of.

Did you know that the idea of free healthcare insurance in this country, originated during the Second World War when FDR initiated a salary cap on wages? It was the greedy corporations, like the automobile manufacturers, that had to start offering employer provided healthcare in order to attract new talent when they couldn't offer them higher salaries. Yep, it's the corporations that gave us the idea of free healthcare insurance, and as the byproduct of poor governing.

I live in A city. Lol.

What do you think those places would be like and how many more like them would we have if not for people getting help? Crime would rise too.

1. Nothing
2. Trump
3. She will further erode the foundation of our nation.

Thanks, but I don't know if "trump" answers the second question. :D It was which platforms of his do you agree with?
No more Muslims without DEEP vetting
Build the wall
Deport my competitors employees that allow them to undercut industry pay standards
Put tariffs on US products shipped back into the US.
Lower the corporate tax rate to compete globally
Stop meddling in Muslim nations & KILL terrorists wherever they may be.
Rip up out trade agreements that hurt American jobs

If Hillary were as bad as Trump then a lot more people would be voting 3rd party, sure.

But since Hillary is experienced and at least half sane she is going to attract the sane Republicans and most all of the Independents rather than will J.Stein or G.Johnson.

Closed schools might work for this.

We need to open and fill all our prisoners with dope dealers and killers and robbers etc.

A prison is a terrible thing to waste.

Hillary will attract the uninformed voters & those who want to continue business as usual.

I am for cutting out wasteful spending and redundant government agencies and those that really serve no purpose, stop funding silly studies that don't help out America (like studies on gays in Rio de Jainero, etc.). I don't have any problems with some of my tax money helping out those who are disadvantaged. It doesn't hurt me in any way. It doesn't hurt you either.

What is going to hurt is letting these corporations get away with NOT paying their share of the taxes, corporate cronyism and those lobbyists who aren't above greasing the palms of politicians to get them to vote THEIR way. This is the antithesis of what America is supposed to be. We are a government of the people, for the people, by the people.

Even the cost of a reliable vehicle is out of reach for a lot of people, and if your credit has been ruined, then fogetaboutit.
Sounds like a personal problem

Now now, no need to try to make this personal because you are getting flustered. How could you function at work with such a demeanor? You are probably an old retired man, am I right? You are from another generation and you are completely out of touch with what is happening TODAY in America and in the job market.

Them paying taxes and not being able to circumvent paying their fair share is not "punishing" them. They should be contributing to the economy and the people who allow them to have a business to begin with.
Yes, Most business owners have risk in running their business their employees have no idea of the difficulty involved. I own 3 s corps. I have nothing to fall back on except my own discipline. The federal government owes me nothing...

That doesn't mean you don't have to pay your share in taxes. We the people do, and so do businesses.
So, you are for wealth redistribution... Through the federal government?

Now where did I say that? Is the government taking all the money and redistributing it all equally amongst the people? No. While I do think there is a lot of waste, corruption and greed in the government, that does not mean that we don't have to pay our taxes! That is what keeps things running and running smoothly. Good grief! How would the government pay the electric bills without any money? God! I can't believe these things have to be explained. Some of you are SO one dimensional and you don't THINK.
Well, I am 100% debt free have been since 20s. I pay all bills including medical bills for me and my family out-of-pocket. I don't even own a credit card. That's the one thing about being self-employed it teachs self discipline...

Here's what bothers me. Here's this girl with two kids and she works at the Walmart and she's on food stamps.

Why the fuck does she have two kids? Did she think she could afford kids?

Here's another rule I would implement. How much do the grandparents make? Because many grandparents don't help because we do.

And watch the unplanned pregnancies drop.

But abortions will go up too. I'm OK with that. Chances are these stupid women won't have all these unplanned pregnancies.

You're beginning to sound like Matthew, a broken record.
FYI Hillary's campaign is being funded by those corporations. Pull your head out of your ass and stop reading bullshit propaganda & taking it for truth.
