Tell me . . .

It is what is deemed necessary to help your fellow human beings and your fellow countrymen and women, mostly women and children.

I may deem it necessary that you buy me a Cadillac, but I ain't gonna hold my breath waiting for it.

I wouldn't object to temporary BC and mandatory classes, but you know, if you think about it, then you really ARE violating someone else's liberty. Personally, I wouldn't mind if people collecting services were not allowed to abuse it, but there is really no way of doing that logically. It would also cost you more if you had to spay and neuter the poor. Also, such things come with their own set of complications.

Wait a minute. It would cost more to fix people than it would to pay for their several children they have that we would have to support? Can you give me those calculations please?

And how are we violating somebody else's liberty? If you don't like those terms, then don't apply for government assistance. Nobody is forcing you to take other people's tax money and sit at home. That's a decision you made; it's an option.

There are complications? Okay, so what? What do you think we working people do when we have enough children that we can afford? We get ourselves fixed. We do everything possible to not have children we cannot financially support. So what is wrong with asking the people we support with our tax money to do the same????

How about we turn one closed prison into a safe place where people who can't make it go. From there buses can take residents to jobs and they can stay until they can afford to buy a car and pay rent. 3 squares a day. Free clinic.

But no more food stamps to go buy cool aid or give $60 in foodstamps for $30 cash.

You'd have to be desparate to go to that place but all you need to do is swallow your pride and you can get free money.

And real strict rules if you want to stay at the prison. Strip search. But if you want to feed your kids and live in your car you can.
Who pays for it?

It works well for the corporations and corporate welfare no matter where it is, that's the point.

Healthcare is for the people, not the corporations. In our state, it is known as "romney care." This was Romney's baby.
Any mandated insurance is legalized extortion

Under other circumstances, I might agree. However, I take into consideration that those without insurance a lot of times cannot afford to pay their hospital/medical bills, which in turn raises the costs of medical care for all of us. THAT is something that needs to be addressed logically, not in a partisan manner because you think "taxes = loss of freedom."
Hundred percent of crazy high health care costs are due to frivolous lawsuits…
They arent all frivolous
It only takes one bad apple to spoil the lot…

This is why I'm able to look at an issue in multiple different ways and I'm not stuck on a partisan ideology that is basically unrealistic and silly. ;)
One percenters! One percenters! That's all you've been bitching about for 300 plus post now. Not only is that being stuck on partisan bullshit it does not demonstrate this elusive intelligence you speak of.

I never used the term "one percenters." Not once have I said those words. I say we are becoming if we are not already a corporatocracy. So waaa-waaa, some multibillion dollar corps have to pay more taxes than I do? Oh, boo hoo. I feel really bad for them. My sympathies lie with the poor people who suffer.

Even the cost of a reliable vehicle is out of reach for a lot of people, and if your credit has been ruined, then fogetaboutit.
Sounds like a personal problem

Now now, no need to try to make this personal because you are getting flustered. How could you function at work with such a demeanor? You are probably an old retired man, am I right? You are from another generation and you are completely out of touch with what is happening TODAY in America and in the job market.
I am 46 years old and own my own bussiness, no thanks to socialism...
You know the middle class that buys your products because they have money in their pockets? Thank us liberals. My buddy owns a small business. He talks to other small business owners and in Michigan, during the bush years, people weren't spending money like they did in the 90s. The big 3 going to Mexico screwed a lot of small business' here.

Luckily trump and hillary both want to tariff corporations

I know! Let's just put all the kids to work too! Right? Screw child labor laws. The kids can work alongside their mothers so that corporations can save some money and increase that profit margin! Lord knows they don't have enough.

Do you work for one of those big bad corporations? Or do you live off taxpayers - who - by the way - work for those big bad corporations...

When the corporations can enter the global market, and get tired of paying our high corporate tax rates, then move their headquarters to other countries with lower rates, who the heck do you think is going to be supporting all these programs for the poor you are talking about? Better yet, does The Fall of the Roman Empire ring a bell?

They only need the basics. I don't advocate giving them cars either. The people of my country shouldn't have to suffer. We are certainly wealthy enough where we can give some measly crumbs to the poor.

Call them whatever you like the point still stands. Look back through your posts, you've repeated the same bullshit over & over & over.

Here's what bothers me. Here's this girl with two kids and she works at the Walmart and she's on food stamps.

Why the fuck does she have two kids? Did she think she could afford kids?

Here's another rule I would implement. How much do the grandparents make? Because many grandparents don't help because we do.

And watch the unplanned pregnancies drop.

But abortions will go up too. I'm OK with that. Chances are these stupid women won't have all these unplanned pregnancies.

If it were up to me, anybody applying for public assistance wouldn't get one red cent until they were fixed first.

Taxpayers would pay for this of course, but it would be a huge investment. There are no regulations that state welfare recipients cannot have children after accepting welfare. And even if there was, what's stopping them from having children? If you cut off their welfare, it would be viewed as heartless because the innocent children would suffer.

You cannot end poverty when you promote the expansion of it. It's just impossible. The apple usually doesn't fall far from the tree, and when we incentivise people to make more poor people, it's a never ending cycle.
Can't argue

LOL, I paticullarly enjoy the 50lb bags of dog food at what? $1/lb! You can't make this stuff up. Purina for all!

It gets better.

I had a family living here a few years ago. This was an unmarried couple with two children living at home. The father worked but the mother didn't. Supposedly, she home-schooled the two children even though she was as dumb as an ox.

They kept getting further and further behind on rent, and I knew it was going to be a problem. So I asked them to come to my apartment to discuss the situation.

He refused to work more than 40 hours a week claiming working more is not the American way. So I suggested that she work on weekends when he was home to watch the children. She didn't even entertain the suggestion. Why? Because she was getting $250.00 a month on food stamps, and any income would interfere with that stipend.

They both smoked cigarettes, had three cats and a very large dog. Their 12 year old daughter smoked as well, but had no job to support her habit, so she got her tobacco products from the parents. They had cable, internet connections, and of course, their Obama phones.

Long story short, I evicted them. They wouldn't leave willingly, so I had to take it to court, and now that eviction is on their record for God knows how long. I sued him and got wage garnishments for over a year because of the damage the kids and dog did, and back rent of course.

All for what? $250.00 a month in food stamps.

I am for cutting out wasteful spending and redundant government agencies and those that really serve no purpose, stop funding silly studies that don't help out America (like studies on gays in Rio de Jainero, etc.). I don't have any problems with some of my tax money helping out those who are disadvantaged. It doesn't hurt me in any way. It doesn't hurt you either.

What is going to hurt is letting these corporations get away with NOT paying their share of the taxes, corporate cronyism and those lobbyists who aren't above greasing the palms of politicians to get them to vote THEIR way. This is the antithesis of what America is supposed to be. We are a government of the people, for the people, by the people.

You keep posting that and I keep reading it. Some set of genius politicians somewhere sometime someway figured less TAX would lead to increased activity, stimulating growth, jobs, revenue acriss the board. Or they are paying back campaign contibutors ad the case with.....say....Solyndra.

Are you going to take $10mil of your dollars, study below Gulf of Mexico and work for 1/2 yr to drill a hole 5 mi deep? Pretty risky, hire hundreds, rent giant rigs, helicopters? Ahhhh.......maybe if reward outweigh risk?

Well la-tee-da. You want a metal or a chest to pin it on? :D This makes no difference at all in our discussion. Good for you. Bravo. That's wonderful. Other people may not be so fortunate.
Well, you called me an old man.
Anyway, while The plural of "anecdote" is not "data... A living is best earned

They don't make as much in other countries, I'm sure. There are plenty of companies who do choose to stay in America. There are definitely benefits to doing business here because they stay around for some reason. Also, people in other countries kind of prove my point. One reason why it might be beneficial to a corporation to move to another country is because of lack of employee rights and regulations. Sweat shops so to speak where they actually DO work children all hours of the day and night. That is what happens in a corporatocracy. If it benefits the corporation . . .

Typical out of your league moron. Can't win on the issue so make up your own random bullshit to knock down.

I realize that we are stuck between a rock and a hard place when it comes to our big business, but that doesn't mean that we should ignore the poor or make corporations into kings so to speak.

Not any more stupid than some of the crapola that comes from your pie hole. Goodness! Mr. "I post drunk" calling someone else a moron. How ironic.
