Tell me . . .

I live in Massachusetts. We've had "romney care" for some time now.

It doesn't matter who you bought the line of crap from, it's the same line of crap no matter how you slice it.

It's worked out pretty well for Massachusetts. :)
That's fine if it's your choice to have it, but if you're forced that's absolute bullshit. Like i said freedoms are few and far between in this country anymore…

Oh please. That is NOT the usual. Where do you think this particular person get that wad of cash? You don't get that much for welfare. It's not like it's some luxurious lifestyle. *eye roll*

Probably the same place they got the newer model vehicle they drive.

That's the point, these social programs are being abused to no end. I mean if these lowlifes had an ounce of integrity, they would purchase their food stamp items, go to the car, and return later to buy cash items. But they do this right in front of you, turn around and smile as if to say "look what Im getting away with."

Years ago a coworker of mine brought up this subject. His wife worked part-time at a convenience store. She made a comment to her black coworker how sick and tired she is of working all the time. Her coworker suggested she follow her footsteps.

She explained she went to welfare and made claim her husband, who worked at the GM plant, left her and the kids. Our government never checks any of these things out, so they gave her full benefits. In the meantime, her husband didn't go anywhere. He brought home over 60K a year and full medical benefits for him and his family. She worked part-time at the convenience store, and they got a government check and food stamps every month.

Don't kid yourself. These people figure out how to play the game, and it's costing us taxpayers.

Those people are not the majority.

Is this what we want to see happening here in America? I think the 36 dollars a year is very well spent.

The direction we are going with the socialist entitlement programs that is where we will end up....

Common sense: if u have out if control infestation, u don't feed it. U don't leave the gate open to ur valuable livestock. Control what problem u do have, do not let it breed. Or u will lose.

If people were not inherently greedy, we would have no need for social services. That is not the case. These tax monies also go to support children who are wards of the state.

I would not call $20T debt ($17T GDP) "works fine". 1% growth, no plans for fix, increased spending built in. "Money don't grow on trees"....have u strolled thru a WalMart recently? Been to Asia lastc10 years? I rest case.

Right. I have never claimed that government spending isn't out of control. It is, but don't blame the poor people for that.
Socialism is spending stupidly…

Well, I don't consider helping the poor to be stupid. I think it is smart.
I could have been poor.
I decided I didn't like it.

Some people don't have very many opportunities. That is why I also support student loans. That gives poor people an option to go to college (although tuition is still OUTRAGEOUS), and they have to pay it all back which doesn't really help them to get ahead in the game.
You make your own opportunities. You don't depend on others to give them out to you.
At one point, I was working 3 jobs with 4 kids.
It takes drive and a strong work ethic.
Not a handout.
My boys are both successful in their own right and my daughter's are both college grads with zero debt.
We will have to disagree on what it takes to be successful in the world today.

Them paying taxes and not being able to circumvent paying their fair share is not "punishing" them. They should be contributing to the economy and the people who allow them to have a business to begin with.

So you telling me you want slavery, company's can't move..they have to stay were their at, can't vote just accept what taxes liberals impose on them, no matter if they can afford it or not..because you say they can afford it

Slavery? Paying your fair share of taxes is not slavery. ESPECIALLY when we are talking about multi billion dollar businesses. Give me a break. You pity them for having to pay taxes, but you want to throw the poor away like so much trash. Rotten to the core. I picture Scrooge when I see your posts.
There has been so much argumentation about taxes that I am ready to go to a flat 20% tax on everybody at the Federal level with an annual exclusion for the cost of living -- food, clothing, shelter, transportation and medical.

This would force Romney to pay another 6% over his 14% taxes on his $20 million of annual income and give everyone else a major tax cut.
It's silly to think that it's anyone's business how little or how much anyone makes, only a meddling lowlife would want to know such things…

I'm sorry,b ut personal anecdotes don't really count. You may or may not be being truthful. Nowadays, you could not afford to send your children to college on even 3 part time minimum wage jobs and feed them, clothe them, afford daycare for them, buy your necessities (like toilet paper, shampoo, soap, etc.). Now, the government is FOR the people. It is not about making people into corporate slaves.

If you are voting for either Hillary or Trump, tell me why.

1. What is about these candidates that attracts you?
2. Which of your chosen candidate's platforms/stances do you agree with?
3. Why are you against the "other guy"?

PLEASE answer the questions and stay on topic. Thanks. :)
1 The 90s were good and Obama got us back on course. I don't want to go back to 2000-2008.

2. Hillary

3. Trumps lying and I don't want Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan legislation getting passed and supreme Court nominees

This is on Paul Ryan's agenda. Even though I'm not a Republican I like the idea that welfare and food stamps abuse should be stopped. It happens a lot and it should be stopped. If a woman's wants foodstamps who is the father? If she knows then you garnish their wages.

If someone "hurt their back" or gets migraines and has to go on disability we need to find the fakers. We need to insist the ones who can find work.

And we need to give free birth control in the aca.

Once more than half the people are at or below poverty level, then your corporations are going to feel the pain as well. A healthy people with money to spend makes a healthy economy.

It works well for the corporations and corporate welfare no matter where it is, that's the point.

Healthcare is for the people, not the corporations. In our state, it is known as "romney care." This was Romney's baby.
Any mandated insurance is legalized extortion

Under other circumstances, I might agree. However, I take into consideration that those without insurance a lot of times cannot afford to pay their hospital/medical bills, which in turn raises the costs of medical care for all of us. THAT is something that needs to be addressed logically, not in a partisan manner because you think "taxes = loss of freedom."

The problem is millions are forced into the Obama care that want nothing to do with it, those same millions will not use it - it's just more waste fraud and abuse…

Trump has to be about the worst at getting an idea across smoothly. He puts his foot in his mouth a lot,
but at least he's not an idealouge. I dont see him as the racist he's made out to be and I think he can be more
swayed by common sense than Hillary ever can.

He wouldn't be as quick to flood the country with unknown people from the ME. for one.

many reasons why i wouldnt vote for Hillry but, for example, the other day I was listening to an x SS agent from Bill Clintons admin, describing how she had the ability to be ranting and raving at Bill, using the foulest language behind closed doors then within a few seconds completely transform herself into an angelic being, holding his hand as they walked in front of the press.

I just dont want any more actors like this, making us out for fools. She's an idealouge , but she's also in this completely for herself. Trump has a huge ego but I believe her's eclipses Trump's by far. She just hides it very well
And trump will go to war over a tweet.

Consider trump would be in charge of the Justice department. Don't think he and Chris Christie won't play politics with the Justice Dept.

Remember bush and Alberto Gonzales fired us attorneys who wouldn't play politics?

He would go to war over a tweet? I find that to hard to believe, and no one wants a president like that.

In 1993 the Clintons fired 93 US attorneys upon entering office. They got away with it. I don't want that woman back in there again.

Playing politics with the Justice Dept? some people think this has already been going on over the last 8 years.

There really is no good candidate here. If I have to pull the lever for Hillary though, I think my arm will just lock up.
Third party does look tempting from a moral victory standpoint but that may just be giving it to Clinton
